C.Frog 0
Heading up to Hokkaido and will be hiking in the Niseko area. Heard something about trail riding in the half pipe - anyone know about this? Any info would be appreciated. Cheers, C.Frog
akibun 0
Hi C.Frog I'm not too sure about that actually, but take a look at the Niseko Now page on this site http://www.skijapanguide.com/2002/daily-reports/niseko-now.html They are there!

C.Frog 0
Thanks Akibun, A friend of mine sent me that link a few days ago knowing I might be interested and I've been trying to find more information about it as it sounds like fun. Haven't been very successful however! I was wondering if anyone on here who lives in the area or has been there knows anything else about it. And qwerty, I hope they are treating them well too! thursday 1
I think Niseko Village (aka Higashiyama back then) are still doing this no? If not, the horses can be had at a good sushi place in Sapporo.
Jynxx 4
Over priced ! What a rip off. Should be 1/3 of what he is charging.

Jynxx 4
That's why I don't like Niseko and Hokkaido in General. Cold, cheap wages and overpriced

Jynxx 4
Because you are not Japanese who'd rather go overseas since it's cheaper than domestic travel. - not the case anymore but some places are. If you are a foreigner visiting you'd probably won't make a fuss about it. I'd rather go Alaska !
thursday 1
no it's not. Domestic travel in Japan is very cheap. Even more so now that the toll roads are free.
