Davo 1
Winter obviously, the fresh babes, gyoza, general lack of life threatening aggro, countryside, public transport, cheap oysters, Japanese food, short working hours, convenience stores and other stuff I can't think of right now. Plenty of shit I don't like though.
grungy-gonads 54
Gyoza! Yes. Short working hours. WHAT??? Where are you working mate?
Guest
IM - are you a nihonjin?
Davo 1
I'm underemployed at present GG but don't expect to be doing more than 20-25 hrs to make a fat salary as things crank up. I gave up the eikiewa dross and decided to only work for premium hourly rates.
IM 0
Interested, I am a so called stealth gaijin (Japanese Amrican).
brit-gob 9
Stealth Gaijin. I like that. Do you get "gaijin treatment" from Japanese or not?
IM 0
Brit Gob, When I didn't speak Japanese well, they looked at me funny (dim witted, may be?). Now I speak pretty well, I'm being treated as natives, until they hear me talking English or look at my drivers license. Cheers

SnowJapan Admin SnowJapan 178 Posted December 22, 2010 SnowJapan Admin Share Posted December 22, 2010 I think 'guests' (ie. anyone could just come on and post anything without even being registered) were stopped back in about 2003! It was getting real messy even back then. Would love to see what would happen now if we opened it up like that. There'd probably be about 5000 posts a day, most of them junk/classifieds/spam/advertising. It wouldn't be pretty!
