hellyer 216 Posted June 25, 2009 Share Posted June 25, 2009 Was a boarder in the 60's (yeah I am an old bugger) Took the fin off the 9 foot Mal & hurtled down Bourke St. at Bulla. Novelty soon wore off along with skin wore off - very little control. Experimented with a mini fin, only marginley (spelling?) better. Tried a few other experiments including the first "snowboards" over from the States. Very long, heavy, straight & an effort to get on edge.
