if conditions remain this way how long do you think the resorts will remained open? keeping my fingers crossed as i'm due in niseko in less than 2 weeks. btw, here is southern california we had a great winter. we get the tail end of the same systems you mentioned, mammoth mountain will likely stayed opened into early may i believe. big bear, which is 1.5 h drive east of LA is already getting muddy though.

I managed to sort out transportation from Chitose to Niseko. I arrived on April 5@ 12:00 am at Hirafu Parking lot #1, how do I get to my accommodation in downtown Hirafu? I understand that the free bus service is not running at the time. Thanks

My Japanese colleagues told me the best chance to board in April is Niseko, I originally planned to go to Nozawa. Are they wrong? Perhaps I should go seeking for waves instead?

Thanks for the extra info. This is the only chance for me to snowboard in Japan so I'll have to make the best of it. April 4-6 is the earliest possible weekend. More info welcome.

I did my research and found this something that clearly states that the last bus leave @21:30. But when I tried to book, no joy I'm coming after work from Osaka and this is the only flight out of Itami that fit my schedule. I'm a Japan newbie, so dozo yorosh ku onegai shimas.
