  1. Thats a pretty good site MikePow! I normally just chance my luck. Donnie, there are a few snowflex dry slopes dotted about - my local is in Garthdee Aberdeen, and there is Xscape in Glasgow (indoor snow hill) - f'in tiny but probably better than nothing (i havnt tried it). So you can keep up your habits even without the crappy scottish snow. I doubt youll find a better site than this though. Tubby Beaver sent me a pic of the Devils Elbow at glenshee about 20mins after the snow fell. Now that is service!!
  2. i had some awesome cheese last night and woke up knackered thanks to ridiculous dreams about japanish snow...im shattered at work and just had a pint of red bull...was it worth it? The roulade was 'to die for' so id do it again tomorrow! go cheese!!

Also I guess it depends on where you plan on going, if you are out the back somewhere then layer up would be advisable, but I was all in resort, so I knew if it was cold I could get back to the hotel and put on extra layers So maybe just regular layering and a hip flask?

  8. What the hell have I done?! I seem to have changed a perfectly nice Niseko in March thread into a George Wham or whatever his name is appreciation/ hatred thread. I shall go back to my original post and edit it so none of the further posts make sence (including this one) to remove myself from any possible blame.
  9. you dont get it!!! its different spelling! I want the same spelling but different pronounciation and meaning
  10. Im heading across on the 18th of March and i predict amazing snow and heaps of good times - i base this statement on absolutly nothing - but i have hope, and like limp bizkit, faith.
  11. Right sorry guys, i was misinformed as to the name of the types of words i was looking for, its actually homographs. I think a homograph is a type of homonym but i stand corrected and im sorry for missleading you my darlings. I promise it wont happen again
  12. turns out the girl had a bad dream and went mental! 1million pound operation cos of a nightmare! She was hanging over the side of the rig and had to be pulled back across. Shes in court now, with a hefty fine, one would assume!?! How nuts would you have to be to call in 16 RAF helicopters cos you had a bad dream??? Tubby, i would have prefered Loon or Quine, but they are not Homoymns! GUTtED
  13. HAhah! bore my bum, on second thoughts, please dont! but mamabear, your examples have the same pronunciation. Im looking for same spelling, different pronunciation and different meaning! Go on! Its language fun:D
  14. Can anyone think of any other Homonyms - in english - same spelling but different pronounciation and different meaning for example: Tear and tear (tearing cloth - crying tears of joy) Refuse (deny) and refuse (waste) Bow (japanese handshake) and bow (bow and arrow) Lead (pencil stuff) and lead (to show the way) Wean (milk from nipples) and wean (pronounced wayne - scottish and northern english word for child) Can you tell we are bored at work?

  18. right i was just about to book flights when i came across a bit that says: "Regarding your reservation * This reservation and purchase service, you will be able to reserve domestic flights in Japan for ANA and IBEX Airlines. The services are for Japan residents only." My main concern being the last line!! My flights will be 2 times the price with JAL so i really would prefer to book through these dudes! Is the whole, you must be a Japanese residant thing just to warn off Gaijin? Please help soon as! i need to get this booked!! Muchos Gracias Amigos y Amigas
  19. yeh prem is planning to add a game. its just asking for trouble
  20. They did it this year with the NFL, played a game in London at the new wembly stadium. New york Giants i think - not only were the local fans pissed off for losing a game at home, but they wrecked the pitch for the new England game which they subsequently blamed for getting whooped out of the European Cup. Gutted for them. The players in the P-ship are the most overworked on the planet (in football anyway) its just asking for inurys.
  21. haha! i cant help being from here!! and also i cant drink cos im stuck on a flippin oil rig! I shall have a drink for you on my return to the land! im a friendly gaijin! geees a break:) lots of new year love x x x x
  22. Are you serious? I love him stand up, I saw the first gig of his new tour (FAME) - incidently the fastest selling sell out comedy tour in history - in glasgow last year and it was literally the funniest thing i have ever seen. I was in pain. I understand, alot of people dont seem to get him because he can often come across obnoxious, but he is a genius. I think when you start to watch gervais you might have to watch the stand up a couple of times if you are not used to his style. I think if you like the office, you will like the stand up, give it another chance:)
