  1. YEP thats one of the best feelings I remember it well from Canada and Niseko. I would leap out of bed with eyes still shut like a kid at Christmas and open the curtains with great anticipation to see if it was snowing. It was a warm magical feeling every morning I woke up and those beautiful snowflakes were fluttering out of the sky
  2. Yeah I guess a ribbon is a bit girly for the blokes . Pin sounds like a good idea!!
  3. Thanks Thursday - I am keeping everything crossed for a good season. Hey last season wasn't meant to be that flash and we had a BLAST!!
  4. Heres an idea What if everyone from SJ weres a ribbon or some sort of identifying item while they are in Japan. That might sorta be fun. . It would be like our own little club!!
  5. Of course it is why should I have ever doubted Niseko Webcams looked exciting this afternoon!!
  6. OH I forgot Father Ted - That is another classic. Is it my imagination but there doesn't seem to be any programmes around at the moment as funny as these ones.
  7. WHOA UP THERE. I am one of those Aussies Niseko lovers I am just trying to get a positive mood happening again. Everyone was so excited about the early snowfalls and now everyone is saying it is a bad season could be worst than last year.
  8. Lets all keep positive. We were all excited with early snowfall and we all now that when it dumps it dumps big time!! Everyone is doom and gloom. I believe Niseko doesn't really get decent falls until late December, early January IT WILL COME!!!! I'm not cancelling my holiday YET!!
  9. Sorry to disappoint ALL FEMALE - Not a male doing the Mankini!! Maybe need to change my name to Snowhuntress
  10. Very Glad to report tried my ski pants on and they FIT and there is even room for some over indulgence while in Niseko. I should be excited I can wear my bikini again but NO it's all about the SNOW!!
  11. There was a thread started in General Snow Talk about all meeting up but I don't think it went any further. I'll see if I can find it, I definately would meet up with everyone for a beer while in Niseko.
  12. Yeah Mr Snowhunter thinks I am addictedt to SJ. I check out the Daily Reports, Web Cams and forums regularly. THEN on the other he spends HOURS & HOURS on Ebay and Online war games which neither interest me. So yeah I maybe addicted but you have to be addicted to something
  13. No they were really yummy. Carrots, Pumpkin, Okra, Sweet Potato, beans. mmmmmm my mouth is watering I could do with some now.
  14. You must have been on exactly the same flight we were. Long lines in Toyko totally freaked cause we thought we were going to miss our flight then passed through customs really quick THEN our luggage got lost and we had to put a claim form in and made the connecting flight by about 10 minutes. It was a very scary introduction to Japan. Everythng went well though. The airport staff were fantastic. Got our luggage 2 days later.
  15. Can't wait to get back to Japan and get me some of those packets of dried/fried vegetables YUMMY in my tummy!!!!
  16. Okay I am going to jump on the band wagon of anti smokers (probably be booed off the forums). There are a few things with smoking I DON'T GET - In the work place it is considered okay to slip outside 3-4 times a day for a cigarette - I would not be allowed to slip out and have a glass of wine or make personal phone calls to the equivalent. Do they think they are intitled to be payed for having a Cigarette. Dole Bludgers (sorry to offend) always manage to afford their Cigarettes but can't afford to put shoes on their children or feed them decent food (am an expert on this subject
  17. I had a nice little suprise on the weekend when I was checking passport etc, Found $1000 AU in yen YIPEE!! I must have already decided on the plane flight home I was going again. As it gets closer I am already trying to figure how I can save up for a 2010 season.
  18. I have been mega excited about the recent dumps BUT I have been told to settle as mid to late december the dumps will become closer and more often. Some even say that you get sick of it snowing (NOT ME!!). So don't panic there should be plenty of POW by the time you go!!
  19. We will have to fight over Mike I am there around the same time looking for lessons. Want to share??
  20. Hi I agree with JA just take the cash with you to be safe and if you find somewhere you can change it BONUS. Nothing worse than getting there and then finding out you can't change or use your card anywhere. No big deal take what you think you will need plus a little more. It's not like you can't change it back it you take to much.
  21. Awesome Pics AGAIN Mike THANKS love them I am green with envy as I swelter here in Australia. Oh well only 62 days 1488 hours 89281 minutes 5356864 seconds Whose Counting
  22. Hey it is not that bad 8 hours to Toyko then direct flight straight away to Chitose and then the bus ride to Niseko. Beats 16 hours flying to Canada and then dealing with Jet lag and getting used to time change for a week. NZ is only 3 hours direct into Queenstown but then you play russian roulette with the snow and a good 45 mins to an hour to get to the snow each day. Give me Japan anytime
  23. I love One Foot in The Grave!! Another Great british comedy other classic favourites Fawlty Towers Vicar of Dilby Keeping Up Apperances Always great for a laugh
  24. Yep we leave Brisbane 8pm 30oC and go to sleep at Midnight in Niseko and wake up in POW heaven rested and ready to go. TO EASY!!!
