Okay got it Furano Crap - Not worth going. Furano is Rubbish nothing there. GOT IT!!

Okay SSShhhhh let everyone keep thinking it is a dying ski resort and they don't allow off piste skiing otherwise it will end up like Niseko. I want to see it before it booms!!

This is very interesting reading. Tell me WHY is Furano not as busy as Niseko???? We were told that off piste skiing is an absolute no no and your pass will be immediately confiscated and that Furano has very little infrastructure and because it is so quiet there alot of the places a closing down. Is this true?? With another year of Japanese lessons I should be able to say more than thank you, hello, how are you So I am now feeling a little braver about travelling to different resorts.

Well it is with tears in my eyes that I post this thread. Today is my last day in Niseko. Yesterday was the most perfect day ever. Good covering of snow overnight and Bluebird day all day and NO WIND. Okay there were queues for most of the lifts at Hirafu but over at Annupuri it was perfect. Managed some tree runs with still some untouched powder to be found and not to crowded over there at all. Headed back around 5pm and it was getting very ugly snow a little soft and slow and a lot of the fronts were getting very icy and scratchy. Today is not looking that spectacular

Well what can I say Great one day perfect the next. Niseko is certainly rolling out the great days - No Wind, Light Snow and the sunshine still keeps peaking through. Had A HUGE DAY today. Hit Niseko Village for a few runs conquering ALL the intermediate runs with ease. Then feeling super daring headed back to Grand Hirafu for some of Piste through Rinkan. I am having a total blast. What a great day we had today, not to cold, light snow with intermitent bursts of sun!! We were expecting the worst with the Chinese New Year crowds and nearly died when we saw the family ace run completely pack with school/university kids. Bluebird Day in Niseko - WHO LET THE SECRET OUT!! The runs were packed. We made our way over to Annupuri, of all my years of coming here I have never seen so many people on the runs. Hirafu had a scary queue for the one chair to the summit and there were long queues at Ace 2 Quad. You know though it was all worth while, while standing in the lift queue looking at the splendour of Mt Youtei while beautiful glitter snowflakes feel from heaven BEAUTIFUL!!! Well Hello from Niseko Sorry the reports have been a little slow as I have been out hitting the slopes and then crashing as soon as I get back to the apartment. Well apart from a little more sunshine the days have been great. Light light wind light snow on and off during the day and bearable temperatures. I have been carving up the beginner slopes until yesterday when the newbie nephew convinced me to head out into the trees!! WOW what a blast we had. Up to my knees in some places and at one stage newbie was buried up to his chest . We have another convert he absolutely loves

No sorry MB wasn't me I have just finished packing leaving tomorrow. I will look out for him though once I get there. LOOK OUT NISEKO HERE I COME!!!!
