Mmmmm. We have just started our planning of 2011. Travel Agents seem to be very reluctant to offer JAL flights. Several are offering flights with stop overs with other airlines which will add 4 days onto the flight travel. Panic set in so we started doing our own research and for us Flights out of Brisbane to Toyko 0762 seem to have been dropped. It is now a flight down to Sydney and then onto Toyko! We can go Jetstar of course to Osaka then get a connecting to Sapporo BUT Qantas code share with JAL out of Brisbane has also been dropped??

Very Cool Gareth - Thanks . Is there much Red Bull Required?? -
We wont be able to make it to the dawn services tomorrow (first time in years) due to Mr Snowhunters back injury. I watch my dad every Anzac take out his medals and proudly pin them on his shirt. Out come the war stories which is about the only time he talks about the war. Tomorrow we will sit and watch the ANZAC parades on the TV and be very thankful for our lifestyle today. LEST WE FORGET - Also time to think of our soliders still serving in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Oshii Lightly steam and then coat with a little butter cracked pepper and sesame seeds. Mmmmm think I will do them tomorrow night.

Thank you all for your wonderful informative help. We have now started planning our National Lampoons Tour of Japan Ski Fields. We are so excited about next year as we will be able to see SO MUCH more of Japan. My choice is to come later February and hang around until the Sakura comes out. Once again THANKS Thursday, Aus Ski Bum and everyone. -

I was wondering if anyone can give some advice and help on hiring a car in Hokkaido. Getting Around?? How hard to drive in the snow (have done in Canada but not the same amount as Japan get)?? Logistics of it?? We are thinking of starting in Sapporo. We have heard of places in Niseko in the bottom village that include a car with your accomodation?? We would like to be a little freer and drive around see more of Japan and visit some different Ski Fields. Thanks
