where do people that live in Sapporo normal go skiing? -
a leash is a good idea if you are boarding for the first few times, fatigue is a funny thing and can make you do dumb stuff. I have seen a few runaway boards flying down the hill and when i say flying actually flying, Pretty dangerous straight lining at mach 10 not to mention what I can only imagine would be a long embarrassing walk to try find your board.

I recently brought a Lib tech online from http://www.dogfunk.com Great site - nice guys and they have a good online chat feature. Had a quick look doesn't cant see any banana's left but you could ask when they are getting new ones -
Cheers for the info tsondaboy - I think I will try take it on as extra baggage on ANA and see what happens - Courier it is a last resort
-
thanks for the information - I would much prefer to take my gear with me as i would hate for anything to happen with it - but if it is going to cost more than 15-20000 in additional baggage charges then it will be a risk i will have to take.

My other bag is a full backpack so i doubt i will be able to take it in the cabin if thats what you mean. With my international flight they have a allowance for sports equipment of 20kgs- Maybe I will have to courier my snowboard gear from tokyo to hirafu

I have been reading the ANA site and cant seem to find anything about sport baggage. Anyone have any experience flying with ANA and carring snowboard equipment, Here is the site regarding baggage. http://www.ana.co.jp/eng/dms/others/yakkan/c2_3_hd.html My main bag is 19kg and my snowboard kit is about the same.
