tomorrow for me Just got clearance this afternoon to get back to PT but go carefully with my left arm - still have to use the splint. -
Yes they are. I've missed having mine there. Can't wear it on the right - just feels wrong. (Edited...don't know my right from my left)

Check out the Chicklet. Yep, if she hates it you'll have to bite the bullet and list it on ebay. I had a quick look and there's none used listed....might be closer to your needs, but it's fairly new so unlikely. If you get the leash you can drag her around the fast getting used to it, then she can progress to riding it herself...should last a couple of tears before you need to sell it off to some other awesome parent whose going above and beyond to teach their kids to love the snow at an early age. Have to admit we've had a fair bit of outgrown gear bogging up our place, but I've bee

hang on...?Go THROUGH? Is that code for collector? Or do you actually lose/break them?
-
Ouch! I hope it is all better in time for next season. Ha ha ha! Broke it at Mt Hotham just over 3 weeks ago...at exactly 3 weeks I rolled into Thredbo for a long weekend of snowboarding - not much slows me down Metabo. Although I'll probably still need to wear a splint in December as it won't be as strong as it was for 6 months or so apparently.

Not a fan of any watches at the moment...if I wasn't wearing a blardy watch I might not have broken my arm as the break is exactly following the line my watch took. /tanty Actually I like lots of clever applications in a watch, but if one of them was phone then no.

Trying to lose weight SUCKS
HelperElfMissy replied to HighlyTrainedNovaTeacher's topic in General off-topic discussions
Ahhh gentlemen, I wish I had a blokes metabolism - it's shockingly hard work, especially post 40. I've been hampered the past few months, got really sick with a flu, then a few months of crippling plantar fasciitis and now a broken arm have reduced my activity to negligible. Only real exercise I've had in the past few months is a few ski trips. I've managed not to blow out too bad, but I wasn't in peak physical condition to start with. 5:2 starts today. I'm also following the bulletproof diet (paleo oriented and low toxin - necessary so I don't flare the Lupus when losing weight...tho -
That is just disgusting. So many issues...

Who did you go with on the Heli-ski MB. I went with Southern Lakes last year and had planned to go with Harris Mountains out of Wanaka a few weeks back -There were too many down days early this month so missed out .A day after I got back I heard that Harris Mountains had a heliski crash with one fatality and several injured Oh, and a big welcome back BTW We went with Southern Lakes also SnowJunky. I was absolutely gutted to hear about HMH losing a chopper and also a heli skier Our day out was only the 3rd they'd been able to do for the season and it was a cracker. Fresh snow

YES!Also been stuck on a long haul with a stinky fellow who jumped up at the first seatbelt off ding and spread it across 4 seats in a row that were vacant and went to sleep - then proceeded to drop thermonuclear farts the whole way from Singapore to London. Was fecking disgusting!! All the ladies in the cabin were whipping out their perfumes and spraying them every now and again to try and conceal the funk. I'd be so very embarrassed if I let even ONE go in company.

Greetings Snow Lovers! I've been AWOL - sowwwwwy! But I've been getting a fair amount of shredding in. Niseko in Dec/Jan and March, NZ in July (including a heliski adventure-woo!), Hotham 3 weeks ago and just on my way back to Thredbo! Little bit broken...broke my arm on the last day at Hotham, so riding in a cast this weekend - that'll be interesting! Hope everyone is well and happy

Niseko at Christmas

^this. But if you want Kamimura - try to book NOW. I tried to book 6 weeks out for my Wedding Anniversary on the 30/12 last year and not a hope.... In fact no hope for the entire two weeks PB was there. I did manage to get in mid-Jan with the kids (adult kids) so experienced it, but would've loved to done that as a romantic dinner for two. -
beacons
HelperElfMissy replied to sapporo's topic in Snow talk, trip reports, Japan avalanche & backcountry
Great work Sapporo! I've also just kitted out with a beacon. One for me, one for PB. Pieps dsp Pro. Also got a backcountry pack, probe and shovel for PB for Fathers Day. I've got a pack....hoping someone buys me the probe and shovel for Christmas Hope I never need them -
If there's one a couple of minutes wait I don't really care, but when they queue is longish, or hideously long this is just annoying. As a boarder I know skiers get annoyed by boards in their space so I'll try and get an edge seat so I can hold my board out of the way. I'll also hold off getting off to the last second to let them get away cleanly without any interference from me. It's about learning to share and play nicely with others.

Snow Origins
HelperElfMissy replied to Tachypsychia's topic in Snow talk, trip reports, Japan avalanche & backcountry
I envy those who found snow young. In my 37th year PB took my eldest two sons to Niseko on a 'boys' trip with a couple of keen skier/boarder mates. While they all had seen snow once each before, they were rank beginners. I visited SnowJapan at this time as I knew nothing, and was terrified of all the usual numptie fears. In April that same year we all returned (with two other families) The younger two and myself saw snow for the very first time. Hokkaido snow! I was determined to be the hot chocolate maker. Skiing was not for me. But after much bullying from my skier girlfrie -
He's on a fast track to destruction. Both he and Miley had the innocent, nice, wholesome kid market, they found fame and completely imploded. Happened to Britney and Lindsay and countless others before them. Just hope he sorts his mess out before he ends up dead. But a petition to deport him from the US? If they didn't deport Mel Gibson then they won't deport little wimpy Biebs.

Winter Olympics
HelperElfMissy replied to seemore's topic in Snow talk, trip reports, Japan avalanche & backcountry
So NOT a figure skating fan.... I mean if the alternative viewing was cricket, then I'm in! But I'd much prefer to watch boardercross, bobsleigh, moguls... Pretty much anything Winter Olympics except curling! -
