I saw Braveheart for the first time last night as well enjoyed it (even though I have heard of the issues about whether it twists the truth or not).

I need a good challenge and I suppose that is the most important thing to me. As other people have said if the lifts are annoying it can really ruin a day.

I have never been to Sapporo but I hear only positive things about it. (Apart from one friend who doesn't like the cold! duh!) I really must go.

Family here - my parents were really big skiers and took me when I was still quite young. I think my first time on skis I was only 7. Quite old compared to some now!

My friend lived in Kashiwazaki until last month. I haven't spoken to them since the earthquake but I would expect they are feeling a mix of lucky for themselves and sadness for friends right now.
