where's the snow?

Apart from the stereo amplified eating, I love the cinema experience. It just winds me up something bad.

Anything less than a decent depth of new snow is surely not a dump. It needs to be moved away by a dumper. Maybe at the very least 10cm.

This is beyond a trivial irritation. I was there ready for the beginning of the new Bond movie and just as it started 3 people - 1 behind, 1 on the left and 1 on the right - started eating popcorn. Very noisily, as they do. It was in stereo. (5.1 maybe). It drove me mad after just a few minutes and I had to find another seat. Even though I ended up right near the screen, it was worth it. Over enthusiastic eating noises annoy me at the best of times, but surrounded by it when you're sat down to watch a movie...

How about this one. Emmannuelle In Space 4. I managed 10 minutes, didn't live up to my lofty expectations!

300 looks interesting. As does Spiderman 3. That Rocky film is out now (or soon) I think.

Nengajo. Sending them, receiving them, then realising you have forgotten someone and need to send them one in return. They surely realise you forgot them.

Hard suitcases do come in handy. Shinks in early morning and evenings are always full in my experience. I hate battling for a seat - in some ways I'd rather be sitting on my suitcase near the doors.

Tokyo. And trying to get out. I think I've got one more year here most, then I either want to change lifestyle and get out in the country here or go back to the UK.

Never mind a lack of snow in Europe. What about a lack of snow in Japan!?

Looking at the lack of dumpage on the forecasts for the next full week, I'm starting to get worried about my Dec 29th trip. come on snow!!
