I think the fact that a leash is connected to the board and has to be connected and disconnected at least raises awareness among newbies that runaway boards can kill. I saw this dude loose a board - it went ripping down the mountain and cut a guy's head clean off his shoulders!

On November 25th, we welcomed BabyJib to the world! She is doing well as is mommy and we just came home from the hospital today. I'll be hanging in Kansai with them thru the end of Dec.

Yea, I was surprised about that - I was the only one in the re-entry line and both J and Foreign lines were blocks long. I may need to keep my alien card for a bit longer just to avoid the queue when visiting!

Skylines hold thier value quite well, but not all cars do. And the parallel import market for Skylines to the US is about to dry up when they launch the GT-R next year. It costs approx 80k to import a JDM Skyline to the US and make it meet regulations to be street legal. the new Skyline GT-R in 2009 will retail for about that amount and the car looks HOT!

I just got a set of Toyo snow tires on 17" Enkei's (I'm too lazy to change the tires - so I just swap out the rims and tires). It was about $1,700 in all. I wanted some cheap rims, but there are no cheap rims that can clear the Brembos on the EVO IX.

What's next, schlong printing?

I'm back in Japan for Dec. and I was surprised that even re-entry permit holders get printed. Next thing you know Mitsubishi will be making zeros again and the Imperial Army will 'strike back'!
