  1. That's really cool Bushpig, I hope it is the same for me.
  2. I wonder if anybody has been in this situation before. I have to renew my passport next year, but my visa is still valid until 2009. Can I travel with both my new and old passport and show immigration at the airport in Japan my old passport with my valid visas?
  3. Ocean11, thanks It's actually not my second season, but last season was the first season I could really start to be satisfied with my technique. So yeah, I was wondering how it would be at the beginning of the season.
  4. Well, I was actually asking more about technique/skill rather than physical condition.
  5. From what I know, Malaria is not a disease that Japanese mosquitoes transmit. There's an encephalitis that they do transmit though, but fortunately, it's quite rare. By the way, what does it have to do with this topic? If it was a joke, I didn't get it.
  6. Technically speaking, we are still in Autumn. Be patient and hopefully we'll have plenty of snow soon. Last year was a bit of an anomaly since snow came very early.
  7. scroll all the way down to see the forecast for Thursday. niseko forecast link
  8. Well, if I didn't mistake the "kanji", there's a snow storm forecasted for opening day in the Niseko area.
  9. How is skiing/riding during the first days of the season for you, do you find you need to recover that muscle memory or does it come back straight away?
  10. Many Japanese girls are obsessed with the sun radiation on their skin (they think it will make their skin age faster) and use make up as a sun protection cream. I'm not saying all of them do it for this reason, but anyway, this is another possible explanation.
  11. Do you mean I can take a bus at 9pm from Hirafu to Higashiyama? That'd be cool but I've read some other post above saying the last bus is at 6:30pm.
  12. so no way to get from one resort to another except by taxi? My accommodation is in Higashiyama, but I think I'd like to give a try to Hirafu night skiing too.
  13. Can you go from one resort to the other at night skiing/boarding? Or is the top of the mountain close at night?
  14. Markie, I can see the kiroro cams on SnowJapan, but if you can't try these: cam 1 cam2
  15. Thanks Lin, I don't know why but I can't see it. Anyway if somebody has the same problem here is another link that does work for me. http://www.niseko.org/live/
  16. Mount Yotei webcam link in SnowJapan isnt working... anybody has an url?
  17. Hopefully, I will also get rid of them next year. Any recommendations?
  18. halfmachine, yes they are aluminum, why you ask, is there any relation between being made of aluminum and coming unscrewed easily? If so maybe I could buy a new plate made of another material you recommend?
  19. Thanks everyone. I bought the bindings last year very cheap too. The screws come a little lose I'd say once every 1 week of riding. For this season I bought a new snowboard and hopefully for next season I can buy new decent bindings. For the time being, apart from the bindings coming loose from time to time, I am more less satisfied with the bindings. Thanks a lot for the advice quattro but I think I'll listen to kumapix and don't use loctite. If I want to change stance or something I guess it is really complicated once you've used the loctite. Kumapix do you know of any place w
  20. I cant say I have a good set of bindings, they are link which is a division of simsnowboards, but anyway, last season I had this problem and I was wondering if any of you more experienced riders have some advice. Eventhough I regularly check the bindings before I go riding to the resort some days they get a bit loose (the screws that link the bindings to the board), and I have to ask for a screwdriver to fix them again.
  21. snosurf, I think he said it for the person that was riding with you... I think it's better to keep together in such conditions. But I've never been really lost and have nearly zero-experience in bc, so can't really tell.
