  1. I don't think the Japanese population would have a problem with that Tubby. Unless of course the new comers wore a turban, a burka, a hijab, built mosques, had dark skin or yellow skin.
  2. Why? Why don't they have an immigration program? I can understand the the overcrowding issue but their record on things like accepting asylum seekers is absolutely appalling. Only 18 people were accepted last year. 18! Can you actually believe that? I don't know how they get away with it when every other western country is doing so much more to help the problem. 98.8% of the population is one race! That's Hitler's dream realised right there.
  3. OK . I'll admit. Not a good example, but still not totally incorrect. Less than 100 000 Japanese Muslims (only 10 000 nationals) and less than 30 mosques in a country of 125 million people (as opposed to 340 in Australia with a population of just 24 million). It's hard to imagine that they are welcoming them with open arms.
  4. Lucky for us they don't get very far in Australia. Pauline Hanson's career peaked when she appeared on Dancing with the Stars. Even Abott is a long long way from the Japanese way of doing things. Japan forbids the establishment of Islamic organizations, so setting up Islamic institutions such as mosques and schools is almost impossible. In contrast with what is happening in Europe, very few Japanese are drawn to Islam. If a Japanese woman marries a Muslim, she will be considered an outcast by her social and familial environment.
  5. How about ' bodily function room'?? Should cover it.
  6. It's a toilet people. Come on, why call it something else? One step sillier than the Canadian version in the the word Loo used by the English. Maybe Napolian was a champion shitter......
  7. That would be an Aligator Snowdude. Roo is OK . Wallaby also. We use to make wallaby McNuggets when we were travelling around OZ.
  8. Plastic in the ocean is emerging as a major threat to ALL marine life. Sorry for getting off the topic but this is not up for debate, this is FACT. Plastic particulate is affecting the entire food chain from 200kg turtles to krill. And it's happening now. Some parts of the Pacific have 6 times the amount of plastic in them than plankton! Putting a stop to this is far more achieveable than the CO2 issue. Not that we should be ignoring that either.
  9. I wouldn't worry too much about CO2 destroying the oceans GN. Plastic will do the job first. I recently return from a jungle location in Indonesia. A place I visited 28 years ago in 1986. Back then it was pristine. Now the beaches are knee deep in plastic! You really have to see it to believe it!

  11. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Long_Walk_to_Freedom A long walk to freedom. A good read that one. Though a bit heavy going at times. Very political. I remember being stopped in the street in London in 1989 and asked if I would sign a 'Free Nelson Mandela' petition. The 'Free Nelson Mandela' movement was very strong at the time. Wasn't there a song with that title? I said NO. Although I believed in the antiapartheid cause, Mandela was in jail for being in possession of weapons and planing some kind of attack on the government, if my memory serves me correctly.
  12. "By Allah we swear by the almighty Allah and we will never stop fighting you until you leave us alone." Fighting you??? Sneaking up on a guy, two on one is not called a fight where I come from but an act of snivelling cowards. Terrorist or no terrorist.
  13. OK... How many countries have you visited where you skied naked while eating a pie or donner kebab derivirtive ?? Not so cocky now are we?
  14. Actually, on review, I can claim another 4 countries. 49 Now. (still runner up)
  15. Now there's a challange. I defy anyone to find a pie in Nicaragua.!
  16. I used to use the Australian embassy's as forwarding addresses for family and friends to send letters to, but there's bugger all of them around the world.
  17. Most of my travels were done back in the 80's and 90's too. Young people today have no idea what it was like back then. No mobiles, no internet cafes, no internet, no email, no facebook.. .just a few letters to mum every month or so and often nobody knew where you were. Sometimes even I didn'know where I was
  18. Don't think there is anything to win. Besides your list looks pretty good. On your list you have Italy, did you go to Rome and vist The Vatican, it's a country. What about Monaco? Your travels seem to include most central European countries, so can you include Luxemburg and Liechtenstein. I include them because I drove though them so many times. even though it only took 20 minutes to get though Liechtenstein. That's the first time I've ever actually counted them. I thought it would be more actually. I spent a lot of time (years) travelling but stayed in places for quite a while, so

  20. He's not a true Bogan. He's drinking Tooheys extra dry, a slightly posh beer. A true Bogan drinks VB
  21. Definitely not enough pubs in that town. In Australia, any town with a crossroad in the main street has 4 pubs. Any less is a waste of valuable real estate.
