  1. Whats the white on the left and right? The "snow" is just the middle bit, right?
  2. BBC reporter has just said that the capsule will just go up one more time! Tell that to the 5 or 6 rescuers that are still down there!
  3. Perhaps not as many of them as there used to be - but if I wanted to find the gnarliest ( ) half pipe on resort, where do you recommend?
  4. Quote: The 2000 yen note was first issued on July 19, 2000 to commemorate the 26th G8 summit in Okinawa and the millennium year as well. Pictured on the front of the note is Shureimon, a famous gate in Naha, Okinawa near the site of the summit. The other side features a scene from the The Tale of Genji and the author Murasaki Shikibu on the lower right corner. The motif of the scene was taken from the 12th century illuminated handscrolls of the novel kept at the Tokugawa Art Museum in Nagoya. These notes are rare in the market, but at banks they are readily available. Many Japanese consider

Perhaps you could make a prediction!
  7. I wonder if they will advise the billions of vending machine operators to turn off their blindingly bright machines all through the night. And turn off the meaningless road lights on the roads that no-one uses at night.
  8. Without a doubt. Saying otherwise is just hyperbole. I have friends who have places they still had places in Febraury.
  9. I remember places charging 1000 yen for weekdays too. Hows about that!
  10. It's a good day out for people in the Tokyo/Chiba area I reckon. Not the most challenging and no moguls is a good thing.
  11. Sony has signalled what could be the final end of the venerable floppy disk. The electronics giant has said it will stop selling the 30-year-old storage media in Japan from March 2011. Earlier this year Sony stopped selling the disks in most international markets due to dwindling demand and competition from other storage formats.
  12. I've caught the bug as well and do what you do gg - tape it so I can ff those annoying ads and (sometimes) songs.
  13. Burning CDs of data always seems pain - love the ease and flexibility of using data sticks. Quote: I remember getting Office 95 and it was on multiple floppies. I remember thinking wow. Remember that too.
  14. In another year I reckon the PS3 will be blowing everything else right out of the water! That's in a year though. For right now unless you want the kiddly like fun of the Wii the x360 is the gaming box of choice.
  15. Tried some skiing again this season and while I had a few days I was glad to be back on the snowboard and think I'll stick with it. Seems more natural to me and I just enjoy it more.
  16. Well I have been to both this season and for me Happo and Hakuba easily wins as a resort and the courses on offer (this is not a backcountry evaluation). Had good days at both though.
