  1. So maybe this whole volcanoes erupting all over the world thing is just a lie?
  2. Yeah right! I observed that too! Why is that so? Is there any expalnations on that? I'd be more interested if you could show any period in the last 100 million or so years when there wasn't a time that volcanoes were erupting all over the world. It's hardly unusual.
  3. I never bought back in so at most I could only ever lose Y1000. Still it wasn't just about the cards. It was about getting together with friends, having a few beers and a chat. Who could not like that?
  4. For our poker night in Hirafu we used to each put in Y1000 and then play with chips. Whoever came second would get their money back and the winner would take the rest. We sometimes had up near 20 people playing with quite a few of them buying back in multiple times so the jackpot could sometimes be well over Y20,000. In my last couple of years there I'd say I was up at least Y150,000 as I won quite a few times. Ah happy days...
  5. Mate you should have a look at what's going on in Australia at the moment. I knew this conservative government was going to be bad but I don't think any of us were quite prepared for just how bad.
  6. Nah it's coalition politicians. Fvcking up Australia one day at a time. Here's another one from these idiots People actually vote for these imbeciles. It's so embarrassing to be Australian these days.
  7. I hate going to bed early and hate getting up early. I did many years of that when I was younger, buggered if I'm doing it now I'm older. I'm rarely in bed before 1am and rarely up before 8am.
  8. When I lived in Niseko we used to have a poker night just about every week outside of the busy winter months. Loved it. Here in Aus I meet up with a group of friends now and again for card games, board games or computer gaming. We call it 'nerd night'.
  9. I don't drink at all nowadays. Really just doesn't agree with me anymore. Aches and pains are just normal now but I do work a pretty physical job. Best things about being older is having a business we love instead of working for someone else in job we couldn't give a shite about. Now owning what is pretty much a dream property for us. And of course being able to spend a lot of time with my daughter. A lot more than most fathers seem to get. There's been a lot good things about getter older but yeah physically it isn't great.
  10. Well they are forecasting cooler than average for the northern parts of Japan over the coming few months. A bit warmer down south.
  11. Reasonably cool air moving into Hokkaido next week by the looks of it. Could see a dusting down to the peak at Niseko.
  12. Lovely day here too. Temps in the high teens, light winds and sunny. Walk this morning along a beautiful part of the nearby coast.
  13. Spring has definitely sprung in our garden with plenty of our native plants currently flowering.
  14. Your whole problem snowdude is that you confuse weather with climate. Sure there's always variations around the globe from year to year and place to place and that's why it's important to look at averages globally over the long term. When you do that it's extremely clear the earth is not cooling. As I stated before globally there has not been one month since Feb 1985 that has had a negative anomaly. If we were cooling we'd at least be seeing some months having negative anomalies. We are not. If it was genuinely cooling and heading anything towards temps that we'd consider an 'ice age' just abo
  15. This from an imbecile who has never studied science a day in his life and certainly has no knowledge at all about climate science. You're a joke snowdude. You really are.
  16. Maybe you'd like to read this then about mid 20th century cooling http://www.geoengineeringwatch.org/why-did-climate-cool-in-the-mid-20th-century/
  17. Actually the 50's and 60's were the coldest 2 decades of the 20th century. Shows how much you know about climate....nothing. I do prefer the way NOAA does it though. They have a rolling decadal mean they compare temps to. And you forget snowdude that I actually studied climate science for my major at university. I actually have knowledge in this field. I'm actually able to make considered opinions about the information out there. What did you major in? Nothing to do with science I know that much. You are completely ignorant on this subject. Beyond cutting and pasting from the blogs you freq
  18. Real world snowdude? You mean the blogs of idiots like you who live in a delusional world where the ice is coming? No thanks. I'll stick to real science thanks. This is the real world in August snowdude and it doesn't seem to be all that cold to me
  19. NASA has just reported that globally it was the warmest Aug ever recorded. Overall the summer was the 4th warmest Jun-Aug period ever recorded globally. Of course all this record warmth is what you'd expect just before the onset of an ice age.....if you're a complete imbecile.
