  3. Sayuri, memoirs of a geisha it may not work well in Japan because it's too gaijin but the book was written by an american, so from the beginning it's a non-japanese idea, even if it deals with japanese culture I loved the book however and certaily will see the movie on screens on 12/10

  5. phone them but usually it is really expensive why don't you use takyubin since it is domestic ? (1500 yens for on big suitcase of 25 kilos, arriving everywhere in japan in 24 hours)

  11. I know, but I'm going back to France on December 17th I cannot leave without having tried the Japanese snow! I hope winter is coming really soon...
  12. Thanks. There must be better snow conditions there in early december. I've seen Shinkansen is 12000 yens back and forth from Tokyo, and ski pass about 5000. I will check inns in the area. I think it is easy to rent skiis ans boots too. Does someone plan to go there on December 10-11 ? I should go with a friend but as we say "the more the merrier".
  13. Hi I first read this (it written "read first", I'm obedient!) but I couldn't find similar topics. Mine is quite specific about the two first week-ends in December. I hope I could motivate some people (skiers or snowboarders I don't care, just snow lovers!) who know the area better than me. thx
