  1. Saw MI3 today. It was much better than I expected actually, despite the silly ending.
  2. I get on well with my boyfriend's parents for the most part. His mother is slightly overbearing, always asking us when we're getting married/having kids, which does tend to irritate me. We have similar personalities but different ideals, so we tend to clash every now and then. His dad is just a total sweetheart. We get on really well. My parents never got on with eachother's parents and most of my friends have issues with their in-laws. It's just one of those things in life that you have to file under 'character building'. Don't let you father-in-law-to-be get to you. If
  3. Hehe! Of course I can't prove it to you... just take my word for it
  4. Sounds like they're paying him too much if you ask me I have a nice big flatscreen monitor and some pot plants, that's about it...
  5. Nah it's not a huge deal... just blew my mind a bit!
  6. All the time! The funniest one I had was during the Winter Olympics - I dreamed that I won a competition to fly to Turin and ski the downhill course. In my dream I stood at the top of the hill and there was a huge crowd and heaps of TV cameras and I started thinking 'oh shit, I'm going to stack it in front of everyone and break my neck'... but then I ended up skiing awesomely and everyone cheered when I got to the bottom. I was like 'Holy shit, I totally rock at this!' Then I woke up
  7. But that's the thing, it's not really junk mail per se... It just baffles me that this company would actively choose to waste paper and spend $50 a year on postage... and this is just for one bad debt, imagine how much this kind of thing would cost them each year.
  8. Yeah so ever since we moved into this apartment we've been getting mail addressed to the previous tenant. Every week I diligently write 'no longer at this address' on the envelopes and put them in the post box. One company continues to send letters EVERY GODDAMN WEEK. Not just one letter, but two, addressed to the same person. Today I rang the company and informed them that the person they were after hadn't lived here for almost a year and could they please stop sending us their mail. The guy I spoke to told me that the person in question owed them a lot of money and that it was com
  9. I believe I am the exception to that rule Bushpig. I kick ass at driving AND reverse parking.
  10. Went to visit my sister yesterday and saw her neighbour mowing his lawn in nothing but a pair of skimpy speedos. He is about 60 and has a rather large beer gut. Not a pretty sight!
  11. I don't mind dark chocolate but REALLY dark chocolate (70%+ cocoa) just doesn't agree with me and tends to give me a headache.
  12. Thanks for filling me in Misorano, that does indeed sound disgusting!
  13. I was driving myself and a friend home from work this afternoon and we pulled up at a set of lights. We both glanced over at the car next to us just in time to see the driver hock up a big ball of phlegm and spit it straight out the window. He then saw us staring open-mouthed at him and proceeded to give us the finger and mouth the words "go f*ck yourselves" at us. We were charmed, of course. What's the grossest thing you've seen someone do in public?
  14. Yes, I have the exact same problem. On weekends I can never sleep in past 7:30am, even if I've had a big night. Stupid body clock.
  15. You guys are gross! About six months ago I went through a cheese and jam on toast phase that lasted a week. I think I must have been hormonal at the time because now I find the thought of it revolting.
  16. People drink for different reasons. A lot of my friends will have a drink at night because it helps them unwind. Drinking doesn't relax me at all, in fact it makes me quite hyperactive, so I usually only drink when I'm in the mood to party. At the moment I'm a big fan of champagne cocktails, two of those and I'm toasted.
  17. Most health food shops here are ridiculously overpriced. The food market around the corner from my place sells organic produce and is slightly cheaper so I go there instead. I mainly buy my meat there because it's hormone and antibiotic free.
  18. Isn't it the most awful sound? Even worse when you know it's your cat getting laid. Nasty!
  19. Same here, Me Jane. I much prefer to stay in hotels if I can afford it. Once you've lived on your own for a certain amount of time you tend to become quite set in your ways and less able to deal with other people's crap. Evil cousin leaves tomorrow and I am very much looking forward to her departure!
  20. Powwwers, sounds bad! I would've cracked. I'll do my best to be patient and bite my tongue. I almost snapped yesterday - I cleaned her room (which was filthy) and put a load of her clothes in the washing machine. When she came home she informed me that she'd have to rewash everything because she doesn't like our washing powder. Apparently she only uses liquid because the granuals in the powder don't dissolve properly, thus resulting in a substandard clean. Raaaahhhhhh!!!! Kumapix, doubt I'll be needing any favours from her... unless of course I ever need to compile a repor
  21. My boyfriend's cousin from the country is staying with us over Easter. I'd only met her a couple of times previously and thought she seemed very nice, so when she said she was going to be in town I invited her to stay. Big mistake... Behind the pleasant facade lies a demanding and outright rude girl. I have bent over backwards to make her feel welcome and keep her entertained, and all she does is complain and criticise. My boyfriend says we should just put up with it as she's only here for two more days, but I'm *this* close to giving her a mouthful. Anyone else had a bad h
  22. God I hate that! Happened to me over the weekend. I paid full price for a pair of boots and then saw them reduced two days later. Grrr.
  23. The Greenskeepers Check out this filmclip of theirs... it's really disturbing (yet the song is quite catchy): http://www.transbuddha.com/mediaHolder.php?id=23
