Reading that got me all emotional, remembering a dog we used to have when I was a kid. He was just the best creature ever (we thought, of course). Also knew a dog that was really badly treated and a friend took it in. He was really wary of people at first - especially big fellas with no hair, probably ones who looked like the guy who mistreated him - and it took a while but he's been converted to a loving dog and gets friendlier every time I meet him (every 6 months or so).

49 is an unlucky number. (It really is, right?)

I heard that it was an indefinite time that they can't give blood - so basically until the rule changes. This was a school nurse that told me this, I don't know how much she knows about it all. (It gave me a good excuse to talk with here though. )
