  1. More photos... Toque and tree Me and mountains don't know the name of this peak Janus and the North Alps Janus again
  2. Nicole, that's not entirely true. I thought the same thing for a long time but in reality only alcoholic beverages have a net negative effect on your hydration. Coffee and tea will contribute to hydration but at a lower rate than water (i can't remember the exact numbers). In fact for many people most of their water comsumption actually comes from the food they eat and not the things they drink.
  3. seriously, a variety pack bunch of young, tight, flexible bodies all crammed into a small area for 2-3 weeks. -- swimmers and winter athletes have the advantage of keeping a bit more fat to soften things up a little.

  5. smelled like a hoax, so i checked it out. a quick google search will give you a host of sites that debunk this. a bit of advice, if it's in a forwarded email, it's usually junk. i'd delete this post so as not to perpetuate bogus info.

  9. Nice pic, toque. It was hard for me to visualize my location during the hike. It was an awesome run, many thanks to you and FF for taking us out. and an extra thanks to FF for lending me gear again. Looking forward to seeing all the pictures. I'll try to stitch up my panoramas today.
  10. maybe because they are detachable and they don't want them seizing up during the night and causing problems in the morning. dunno.
  11. Quote: Sock Monkey, just cos he hasn't given up his Canadian passport doesn't mean he is any less Australian i made no such claim, i just pointed out that he is just as much a canadian (in fact, if not spirit) which you got on FT's back about.
  12. exactly, saying he's canadian is not a claim on the medal but pride in the medalist however, if he makes money off spyware and such junk as the canadian and australian media have reported, then i think we should revoke it.
  13. Quote: his passport says AUSTRALIAN that would carry more weight if he'd surrendured his canadian citizenship. so in response: his other one says CANADIAN
  14. have to agree about the medals. they look like junk. what are they supposed to represent, does torino mean hole?
  15. Quote: She looks like she is going to cry all the time speaking of which, every japanese athlete i've seen interviewed post competition has been crying or teary eyed. even with the bad results it seems excessive
