  1. Sledging rules! But my skis are usually the winners when the snow comes down heavy.
  2. Take a look at this website for an idea of average annual snowfalls in Japan. Scroll to the bottom for a gleg at mpegs showing snowfall data back to the 50s. It's interesting stuff.
  3. It's snowing outside in Aomori right now. Not very hard, but it's enough to give me hope.
  4. I remember last year it didn't snow well until around the 27th of Dec. Most resorts had only their little runs in action until that time. Then (in Aomori and upwards, at least) one storm came in two main phases and put damn near a metre on the slopes. Then there was the year before that when I was skiing on damn near two metres by the 10th of december. What's that all about?
  5. Just tell me how everytime I look at the snowfall for Kurodake it seems to be getting about a foot every three days? What's that all about? And every time I look at the webcamas for most resorts in Hokkaido they show me pictures of people having fun on their skis, when down here in N. Honshuu there's nothing but rain.
  6. Just want there to be plenty coming down in Northern honshuu from the 23rd on. I just booked three weeks off workhttp://www.skijapanguide.com/ubb/icons/icon9.gif
  7. Anybody know what this season's meant to be like according to weather pundits? I know some weather agencies do seasonal forecasts, but I've not heard anything yet. H
