  1. Another bright sunny day here, no sign of snow. The snow that was on the tops of the hills now almost gone. It's not feeling much like winter yet.
  2. Painted ones look better. I've noticed this as well, in fact my g/f when I first met her had very very faint eyebrows. I've encouraged her to grow them to be something like normal. Much better.
  3. The local Kentucky here is doing big business in the rush for Christmas. The busiest day is the 24th, not the 25th as well - says a lot.
  4. There's a really cool temple not far from where I live called Untoan. I sometimes go there just to relax, very nice place.

  8. Quite a lot, the best ones more than sen-man so I heard. (Is that true?) Actually I went to a koi museum type place in Ojiya just before summer it was really interesting - I wonder if that is still there now? On the same day also went up to Yamakoshi-mura to take a look at all the carp up there. It was a really pretty place. Sure glad I wasn't there on Oct 23rd. 30 minutes to the south was bad enough.....
  9. As the guys said, the problem is to the north of Yuzawa. The derailed train and aftershocks have not affected the shink up to yuzawa.
  10. Unless they do a special, I don't think that will be one... none of the other Mickey Mouse, er sorry, Carling Cup matches have been on this year. Hopefully they'll make an effort and do the right thing. In the meantime, COME ON CHELSEA!!! The League is ours.
  11. Hey sanjo, I finally signed up! I'm the friend sanjo was visiting in Muikamachi when that first quake hit. Intense it was, my apart somehow survived (god knows how) and my sanity is still fairly intact, though I'm not keen on getting woken up by the bastard quakes even now sometimes. What a few weeks it has been. Being where I am - not too far away from the main area - most of the people I know have been affected by this with either friends or relatives getting their houses destroyed and the like.
