quick question: Can you get to Narita airport using a JR pass? I know that there's all these super quick trains but no one actually says if you can use the pass... Thanks!

Hi anyone! I'm going to Japan with my university and am staying on for a week in mid-Dec. Have booked 3 nights in Hakuba. Can anyone give me any useful info for a 1st time tourist, 2nd time skier? Is it safe to ski alone? Thanks! Anna
