  1. I always stay at Nozawa Shoin. It is run by the coolest elderly couple and they might be the nicest people I have met in Japan. It is about 3000 per night and it is a minshuku. The number is 0269 85 2849. They don't speak English, but they love foreigners.
  2. I am off to Niseko for the first time. I hope to have 4 powder filled days I am so stoked I can barely stand it!
  3. I am off to Hakuba on Friday for one JET ski trip and then I am joining another one in Gorin Kogen for Saturday and Sunday. I hope there is still powder out there!
  4. I also invested in a helmet this year. It is great! I never even know I am wearing one. I took my girlfriend out boarding for the first time last year at tenjiyama in Yamanashi. She had a spill and broke her tailbone AND her wrist. I had one instance last season where I landed on my wrist and it hurt like a mo fo. Needless to say, I invested in wrist guards too. Helmets and wrist guards for boarders is just smart riding!
  5. Hey there! This weekend is the 2005 Nagano Ski Trip in Hakuba and there is a party on the Saturday night. Should be a good one. Enjoy!! Check this link: http://www.naganoskitrip2005.com/party.html
  6. Hey Yumiko!! Where do you usually go in Nagano? Nozawa Onsen is going to be amazing this weekend. I was there for the 3 day holiday and there was almost too much snow. It is also the fire festival. Happy boarding!
