Ive skied double blacks to 47 pitch in mix of conditions but mostly soft packed conditions. Had a bad slide and a bit spooked by steeps. For something hardcore people probably know, the Peak chair at whistler off to the right is the kind of terrain I hang out on. Have done spanky's at blackcomb and we just repeated outer limits over and over for fun. Nothing in Thredbo worried me. We had 40cm fresh at thredbo. Heavy and wet but
  4. Paging Cptn Stag...tell me tell me how do the SPs do in the trees when going slowish...do they turn or is it like driving a bus?
  5. FT will love this thread. Im going over old ground I know but I have read a lot on epicski tetongravity and here... I want to try park, ski switch, try the pipe. i currently spend almost all my time off piste and plan to continue this. I consider myself an advanced/early expert skier with the mountain just opening up to me (starting to get into double blacks like at red mountain). I want a ski with a future. Im a turn boy not a mach 10 cliff dropper or bowl ripper. Though I aspire to ski faster and "bigger". I like trees. I like powder but am not very powder experienced (yet) -

Oh, meet a couple of friends of mine: Mr MVP and his Bro MVP new model.. Ebay can be your friend even if the post takes 4 months... I now have 2. One for the reconstructed knee and one for the good knee. I know its a bit over the top, but 8 months of rehab and the operation are not where I want to go again. And a redo is much more likely to have a bad outcome. http://www.gallbrosmedical.com.au/

  9. Kevs just doing what he does best...as in being a prat.... he knows full well where the question is coming from cause hes coming on the trip with me... he also knows that the dodgey IT setup i have going for my wife has pluses and minuses...pluses being I do it cheep cheep (free)...minuses being no other mortal man will understand the true dodginess that I have created under a bill of about $1000... last time we "outsourced" for a ski holiday the IT guru spent >4 hrs without actually fixing anything (my wife simply reinstalled the app on return and it was "cured") thx

  11. Got a spot in our booking in Niseko Hirafu currently vacant. Some interested individuals but no one committed as yet. Week on offer is a twin room in a pensione in Niseko (western style - as in twin beds) from I think 20 to 2005.02.27 - exact date to be confirmed... as in last week in Feb from about Fri. Anyone interested? Typically I have some no shows for my usual ski trip booking... I booked this direct and make no money btw....its all for the love of skiing...I think 71000 yen (Aus $900) inc breakfasts for the bed email jdooley@bigpo nd.net.au
