Sorry, I think I have been a bit confusing... I don't mean I am thinking of going to one of them this weekend, but a resort with a good rep and where I know there is good powder... I am thinking of sticking closer to home this weekend so I am gonna try and research a north facing slope, thanks for the advice, good work ice eiji, now you're sorted!

Where are you going? Ok, I have a question and I need your help... I am trying to decide where to go tomorrow... however I fear I may have turned into a bit of a powder snob... you see, recently wherever I've gone, be it Niseko, Nagano, Ishikawa, Toyama, there usually comes a point in the day when the snow turns all crusty and it isn't much fun boarding. As it is sunny today I think the conditions are likely to be a bit shit in Ishikawa, what are all your opinions with regards to this? DO I need to go higher to find powder, eg Arai??? Are places ever good on sunny days??? Any answers woul

Location location! Just wondering where everyone on here is based....?? (And where you are going for Christmas) I am in Kanazawa city, Ishikawa prefectureboardered by Toyama and Fukui. It is about a 3 hour drive from Joetsu interchange on the expressway and so that's only 3 hours to Arai Mountain park! We have ok snowboarding in Ishikawa, good for just popping to the mountain on a day off (like tomorrow) but when I have longer I prefer to head to Toyama where there is often good powder, Nagano or Niigata! On Christmas Day my mates and I are donning santa hats and heading for R

yup, been twice, love the place, one of my favourites! Hmm, bit sketchy of details, but I think there are three resorts all connected there... you can get a pass for just one or all 3. I usually go to Suginohana, gret place, lots of sneaky powder runs under the lifts, just, err... play the dumb gaijin... not as important, but kinda cool is that the car park is right on the slope so it take just a few minutes and you are at the gondola!!! -
Oi, you lot, woh's out in the snow???We had a load dump down here over night and a few resorts are open in Ishikawa, but think it will still be shite so I am looking for info about Toyama, anyone been out yet??? Raicho valley?? Any other recommendations??? Am also thinking Nagano, Niigata next weekend, where's looknig good people??? Is snowbeds all full for New year I wonder....
