There was something on local Saitama tv (?) last night about snowboarding and skiing again. This time they seemed to be going on about how the numbers on the hills keep on decreasing year on year, interviewing some glum looking ski-jo people.

After midnight is the only time that things get to near-quiet round here.

Hi there. My first year in Japan. Last year I broke my leg skiing in France. Put me off a bit but I'm gradually trying to give it another go here in Japan. I didn't get to see much of France (due to above accident), and this may have been covered here before, but how do the resorts and snow here compare to like Europe and US? Cheers OTT
