  1. Get out of Tokyo for a month (or preferably two!) in summer and it is good for most of the year.

  3. itunes is 192. It is not the quality of a CD and is quite noticeable. You can I believe now pay a bit more to get the evil coding off the tracks that don't allow you to move the files and are 256. downloads will need to generally get the same quality as cds for me to be convinced to use them.

  5. Once a month I backup my 2 main documents files - and I take 2 copies. It takes about 30 minutes but is worth it for piece of mind.

  10. I enjoyed the book but as some others have said he does go on and on about a few points a bit too much. I remember when I first came to Japan I bought almost every book on Japan going. The trip to Kinokuniya was a big treat. Hard to believe now with amazon and everything, so much has changed.
  11. It's not particularly the job, more the people I'm wish. I'm not keen on quite a few of them, esp the stubborn old fashioned management dudes. They really need to lighten up a bit and try to get a grasp on reality.
