  1. I accepted a long time ago that I am a guest here, look at the word "Gaijin" - outside person, outsider. Its perfectly sums up the situation, you will never be truly one of them as long as you live, to dream you can is an exercise in futility. happiness comes from serenity "God give me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage the to change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference" I am not religious but that little prayer is often spot on. I dont have a problem accepting my place in Japanese society, I think the problem is with some of the the local
  2. affirmative, smilies rock maybe I should ask SJ to change my name to smilie! I think Bad Migraine is the smilie god, his smilies are rocking
  3. I read in the Christchurch "Press" that Parliament in New Zealand is considering another "Death with Dignity" Bill. One in 1995 did not pass, but there seems to be stronger support this time around. What do you think? yes or no?
  4. ummm hmmm NOTHING beats the sounds of a board whooshing through butterluscious pow, you now.. the barely audible "puff from the gods" fantastic stuff......

  6. You know what I want to know is when will the men of Iraq grow some testicles and be men? and overthrow that meglomaniac evil prick. Many Iraqis fear and loathe Saddam ( as told by those who escaped) they are too damn afraid to stand up to him, as for the 100% approval rating the people gave him? what an absolutle friggin joke that is....here is what it really meant... Gutless and scared......the root of their problems is their leader get rid of him, dispose of him and deal with the world. They dont have to completely cave in to the west and Bush, but just get rid of Saddam, save t
  7. you know I really think that enderzero was just throwing a little tiff like his doppelganger the Pro wrestler Matt Hardy For those who have met the usually mellow and relaxed Enderzero, it looks like him doesn't it?

  11. Ocean 11's Post regarding db bodysurfing with dolphins is my post of the year...classic "What the dolphin is actually doing db is 'dogging you up', and trying to shame you into realizing that he got there first, is unencumbered by any plastic crap made in Taiwan, is enjoying himself in a more natural way than you are, and is hoping that you'll sod off and go walk upright on some hot pavement like your kind is supposed to do."
  12. oh yeah baby I was in Osaka lastnight soaking up the tunes from PJ....Eddie Vedder...Legend

  14. This forum is the best forum or newsgroup I have ever been on, almost everyone on here is a person I would like to be friends with, which is saying something about how good this forum is. As with life you get people who you generally dislike and wouldnt give them the time of day if you ever met them. There a couple on this forum who I think are in the category no name calling, no aggro, I just dont read there token attempts at posts and ignore them. Plain and simple I would be wasting my time and distract to the quality of the forum if I did that. We know who these people are, I have discussed

I have been thinking about doing a summer there, but alot of people say that there is not as much snowfall as they would like ? peace. on the ski fields, the snow is often not that great, but high in the mountains, down south, where only helicopters can go you can find heaven...
  17. League, hell yeah we can talk about league too Sir William. Oz or UK league?
  18. Herman? I thought he had flagged the rest of the season to have the pins removed from his leg, continue to rehab and then come back next season, better than ever. He was only really doing Super G and Downhill this season as there is too much pressure exerted on the lower limbs in GS and his weakened leg couldnt quite hack it. but the Hermanator certainly is the man, I would give my left testicle to be able to ski that fast. Anyone who saw him in Nagano Olympics crash ion the downhill and come back to clinch the Super G has to have respect for the man.....legend

  20. Quote: Originally posted by talisker: I can honestly say I have had 40 odd powder days this season. Coming down throught the trees with no one else around but you and a mate. No noise like the tinny lift music, no wailing sirens , no chatter - just the fall line, waist deep pow and grins from ear to ear. When you get older and you don't have rubber bones anymore you can still ski pow - freeride - that is what it is all about... Amen brother, couldnt have put it more eloquently

That is one hell of a big gap you have got between Beginner and intermediate!!. Also there is a hell of a big difference between boarding in steep deep powder and skiing in it.....a friggin quantum leap!, people can quite capably board in steep powder after few days, my friend rode with me all over Annupuri in Niseko after 2-3 days lifetime snowboarding, handled it quite well. I would dearly love to see a person with
  22. I am tired of soccer threads.....each to there own I say, so if you like soccer good on ya but how about a thread about a real code. Yes Rugby. any SJ ers out there who enjoy watching a bit of Union? Who is your team? me being from Canterbury kind of makes my team choice rather obvious. Anyway been watching the S12 on Jskysports3 anyone see that thug Flavell on the weekend?? what a meathead, I have been bagging that showpony for years and he keeps giving me ammunition to continue to do so
  23. A few NZers will need one of these today.... FIVE zip wow........5-0.....thrashing, shallacking, pissbowling, asssmoking, whupping, lambasting, flagellating, clobbering, outstripped, walloping, thumping, steamroll, mop up, smothering, trouncing, licking, pummeling, whomping and good old fashioned hiding.... Geez what an embarrassment "kaokarahigaderu" (face burns with shame)
