  1. I'm taking a day off on Monday and want to get to Hakuba this weekend, but unfortunately I don't have enough energy to get there... I miss fun and relaxing time with good friends there so much... I hope I'll be able to go to Kagura on Sunday. Kuma, SirJ and monkey, have a fun weekend!
  2. Hey, Muikabochi, Skidaisuki, Tsonda, Stuntcok, are you guys skiing/riding Kagura on Sunday? I'm not sure yet but I might take Shinkansen/bus to Kagura Saturday night and ski Sunday morning. Can we get together?
  3. I've just picked up my phatluv from the shop. Are you going to Kagura, Stuntcok?? Tsonda will be there I think. I'm still thinking where to go this weekend, Hakuba, Kagura or Tokyo...
  4. I had complete medical checkup this morning. My body size hasn't changed, my blood pressure is way too low as usual... I had muscle injection and barium for X-ray of the stomach. "Muscle injection for X-ray of the stomach??" I've never heard this before and it's so painful... have to go to work now...
  5. Are you moving out, CB? FT, I need a help. My bindings setting up should be in the center or backward a little bit?
  6. Yes you can, at your local Land Transport Office.
  7. Nice pics of EBC, Kuma! I'd love to go to Hakuba this weekend and ski with Alex and Phatluv... but I also want to visit to the hairdresser and get my hair loose permed... dilemma...
  8. Here are some pics of Kagura yesterday. It's my first time top lift. This is where people start hiking, looks like a fun hike! I can ski in the trees only if it's flat. :-) It was funny, I just kept asking Tsonda, "Can I ski here?" and he always said "No!!" It was fun skiing, thanks Tsonda and SnowJapan.
  9. Thank you to all people here giving me some advice. I bought Phatluvs167 today. I tried K2 Nancys169 yesterday (they were too soft for me) and talked with a girl at Kagura Powder Station. She showed me 2008 K2 catalog and we laughed... Phatluv graphics are getting worse next year, they'll be "Gold"... I deided to get this years model. When I saw some people hiking up the mountains, I was thinking maybe I want touring bindings on my Phatluvs but they are not cheap and I'm not sure I need them or not, so Salomon bindings will do. Who were
  10. I could find a place for single girl this weekend thanks to Tsonda. Kagura needs more backpackers accommodations like Hakuba. Now my roadbike looks like a Snowjapan's official bike. Thanks SJ!
  11. If you have a car, you can get to Kusatsu, Manza onsen, Yuzawa area about an hour. If the road from Manzaonsen to Shigakogen is open, it's about 90minutes to Shigakogen from Karuizawa. Shinkansen from Karuizawa to Nagano is 30 minutes, Nagano to Nozawa onsen 30minutes local train, to Hakuba one hour bus. Shinkansen to EchigoYuzawa is about 50minutes.
  12. danz, that sounds like a city I want to live. I hear good things about Seattle. People say Vancouver is a good place, too. I just applied for a scholarship for internship program in Seattle next year. Fingers crossed!!
  13. But we'll get some fresh snow this week and temperature is going down, it'll be better than last weekend, I hope. I don't think I can hike up there. I'll ski in the trees in the resort, do I need beacon or other BC gear for the top chair lift?
  14. Thanks. I heard the top lift was opened the weekend. I want to get up there early Saturday morning and test ride those fat skis which I have been looking at. Let's hope for the March fresh powder.
  15. Hakuba is fun place. I wish I were a BC skier but I'm not, I think it's time to go back to Kagura. Markie, are you coming back to Hakuba in April? Are we having BBQ party again this year?
  16. I am going to Karuizawa for a business trip next week, wanted to schedule it on Friday so that I can go direcly to the mountains after meeting, but it's Monday... no skiing.
  17. Sexy boys?????? Kuma? Monkey? Hugh? Ryan? Yanik? Simon? Roger? FT?
  18. You guys have really good camera. I'm looking forward to your nice pics over the weekend, Kuma&Monkey! Where is the picture of your school window view Toque? EBC, sorry for my late reply about fat skis. I talked with FT and JM at the lodge last weekend. Now I am thinking going to Kagura or Hokkaido and rent demo skis there. I know Kagura powder station has Nancy(twintip) and Phatluv(nontwintip), am searching a shop in Hokkaido.
  19. It's nice to know Seattle is not too far from those mountains. I was wondering what the snow around there is like, too. I have never been Seattle but am very interested in going there, where my great-grandparents lived and earned money 100years ago.
  20. Our monthly meeting is first Wednesday and there is no meeting the end of March, oyuki. But still you should go to pinkcow in Shibuya and try vegie burrito there. That's the best burrito in Tokyo. Are you going to do something on the earth day, 22nd April? There is a big event at Yoyogi park. I was expecting to have Tsubutsubu food there, but seems like they are not going to run a booth this year. Hey fq, I enjoyed hearing the story about Ogasawara the other night. Are you going there this summer?
  21. Oyuki, Ryan told me "bikecar" was pretty good. Is it bike movie or snowboard movie? I'd love to see it and thinking... Would you like to show it in Tokyo?
  22. Ebc, nice try! Yanik told us he enjoyed skiing first time in 14years. I've got his chai recipe this weekend, lots of Cinnamon and Cardamom, a little Ginger and Nutmeg. Nice pictures, Toque. Looks like still winter there, lucky you... I found this last night. This can be repaired?
