I used to live across from that monster.... they've been building it for the past year and it looks pretty wild to see a coaster of its size in the middle of a city block.

Ride with music?

yea... i've been riding with my mp3 player too. It stays safe and dry on the inside of my jacket, and it's not too heavy or bulky. -

only reason I said boarders is because i've seen lots of boarders with phones before, but I can't say i've ever seen a skiier with them.... no offense! I'd like to hear skiiers opinions too. I see what you're saying about hearing the swish, but for a change, music helped get me pumped enough to push it a little more... i dunno -
This will probably be more relevant to the boarders here... but how many of you ride, or have tried riding, with some kind of music (headphones)? I just started listening while riding recently, and it's much better than listening to the garbage j-pop most resorts play all day. It gets me pretty pumped when riding, but I think it's probably best for riding alone...

Here's just a short list of the lesser known low-points of american foreign-policy (including the good old days when the CIA just assasinated any foreign leader they wanted do): http://www.bowlingforcolumbine.com/library/wonderful/index.php here's another link from that site to an article with references to declassified documents, about how the US govt knew that the bombing in iraq + embargos/sanctions would cause the deaths of thousands of civilians: http://www.progressive.org/0801issue/nagy0901.html -

it's not really fair to say all americans. There are alot that scare me too, and it's their responsibility for being ignorant enough to elect the people they do. mikazooki - you're right... I could probably say that every american I've met living here have been free thinkers. I think the mindset like: "america is the center of the world, everyone wants to be like us, and anyone who hates us is just jealous" is way too common among people who don't spend some solid time outside the states. -

It's really a bad time to be an american. When people ask me where i'm from, I always say new york.... bottom line is.... Bush, Cheney and their buddies want oil + geopolitical power. The masses of sheep in america have their minds numbed by watching CNN, and are scared into supporting war with bogus scare tactics like the "terror alert system", and public notices telling people to duct tape their houses shut. After all... the people who run the news networks are the same people padding the bank accounts of the morons we have in office now. but... not all americans are oil-thirsty, -
He's lost it man! ...and I thought he looked scary enough before. who do you think is more nuts: Michael Jackson, or Mike Tyson?

Mostly a forum lurker here, but it was great riding with danz, barok, enderzero, db and everyone this weekend. I've met kuma in the past, and a few others who's sj names I don't know.... All very cool people. I was talking about this with enderzero and danz this weekend, but I don't think I've ever come across a web forum where so many of the members have met eachother in person. Props to sj.com and members for puttin together a cool little community.

Sup y'all.... I finally decided to get on this board after months of hearing danz raving about it. Last weekend was a blast. Thanks Nat, for putting together a great trip. It was cool meeting everyone, and although I don't remember much of the party on saturday night, it was the shiznit. much thanks to barok for showing us all the secret stashes around goryu and 47. Hopefully I'll be back up there around the 1st or 2nd weekend of Jan. -jaime
