The few times we don't publish "reviews" that are sent in is.....
- if they are one-liners (or less!);
- the user does not specify the Resort name in the Review (and doesn't reply when we email them asking for it). We can't publish a review if we don't know which resort it is for;
- or they are just so obviously way over-the-top "resort bashing" (with no explanation as to why.)
Perhaps your review fell into one of those categories?
(Take a look at the Review page now, today a none-too-flattering review of Gala has been added.)

What do you mean when you say this side of the board gets way less hits? Do you mean the Snow Talk? compared to last year or compared to the off topic?
In actual fact, the detailed numbers and stats that we have show that both the total number of posts and the pages views (for the Forums) have increased quite considerably this season - both for the Snow Talk and Off Topic sections.
Them be the facts.

No you don't need to put any comments in there. You are registered so we know who you are and have your contact info. When you enter as long as you are taken to the "we got your entry" confirmation page, everything is fine.
So you don't need to write comments, but it is always good to receive comments and ideas and we appreciate the comments that people do write. If you didn't write comments, we might not know you liked the giveaways or the site, and might just decide to close it all down or something.
As you can hopefully understand, with the volume of entries we get every single week we simply can't reply to individual comments. But we do read them and file them all away, so don't think they go un-noticed.... they actually help us in improving the site in the long run.
OF COURSE, while comments you write have no bearing WHATSOEVER on whether you win or not, (OF COURSE) - (HONESTLY) - we would (OFF RECORD) prefer to give freebies to people who take the time to write a few thoughts down.

Actually we have a request to ask of people entering the Giveaways:
Please only enter if you feel you will be able to accept the prize if you win!
That might sound really obvious, but you would not believe how many times we've got mails back from people who we have just sent a congratulations email to who say "oh sorry, that's too far from where I live" or something along those lines. We wonder why they entered in the first place - and apart from that delaying some of the prizes being handed out etc, it also wastes a lot of time and effort.

Firewalls might be a reason why some people cannot login even if they want to. Some browsers seem to have problems as well, but that seems limited.
But big-will is right - and we have said this before more than a few times
- many times if you just go in at random there will be no-one there. We get transcripts of activity in the chat room and a large number of people login, write a very witty comment along the lines of @where are you all@, and then logout seconds later. Then a few minutes later another person does exactly the same. etc. etc. etc.
There are quite a few conversations going on in there every day - it seems usually between people who have decided on times with friends to meet up in there.
We want people to use the chatroom and enjoy it - that is why it is there! - and arranging things with friends is surely the best way to do that.
