  1. Let's get some beers one of these weekends. After I drink a few, I will be ready for your crap.

  4. Another thing I have learned is to ignore 98% of what Thursday says. Except on Thursday, then ignore 80% if what he says.
  5. Spook, I'm guessing you're a guy, right? That's why you ask these questions. I would ask them too. However, I've learned not to attempt to understand the logic of women. She said she just wanted those phrases so I'll try to get them for her. That's all. I've seen how those G.P.S. things in Japan work when I was in the Chuo taxi. Pretty straight forward. Just like looking at cartoon instructions. Don't really need to know the language. So I see your point. I just hope you see mine!
  6. A colleague asked me this and I am unable to answer because my Japanese is very rusty. She will be driving in Japan over Christmas and she says she's rented a car but has been told that though they have the G.P.S. system in the car, the directions will all be in Japanese. So she wants to know how these terms will sound in Japanese: In 300 metres, turn left. Turn left now. Bear left. Follow the road for 3 km, I will get back to you later. She tells me these were what she heard when she used the G.P.S. system in English so she wants to know how they will sound in Japanese. Anyone
  7. Being formerly British and all, that fully qualifies Hong Kong as a city since not only do we have our fair share of heaps of shite but we also have a fully fledged Anglican Cathedral in our CBD. Hurray, hurray...now I can sleep well at night....Why?....because there is another big thing to yawn about!
  8. Is this the same place that has "grass-skiing" in summer or I am mixing it up with some other place?
  9. Yeah, I remember Ocean 11 or someone telling me that there has to be a Cathedral in order to qualify as a city!...according to the English. Anyway, TJ OZ's place (White Horse) is nicely located in Echoland and Fattwin's place is just on the edge of that.
  10. My favourite one is the sixth one: Follow the sigh... I will try to remember to follow the sigh of any ski patrol who stops me.
  11. I've been told the cheapest DVDs can be bought just over the HK border in Shenzhen China. But they are pirated copies and illegal.
  12. Yes, I'm going to Furano next week but will not hit Asahidake. I will be hitting Sapporo for a couple of shopping days though!

  14. At $199, that comes to about $20 per season. That's great value for all those hours of laughter.
  15. I have a friend living in Sapporo. He usually goes to Kokusai and Teine Highlands.

  19. Yes, I remember picking you up at the Tokyu Hotel and you were falling all over the place at the back of the van and shouting at me for my bad driving. Luckily CB was there as a witness to vouch for the fact that your falling all over the place had nothing to do with my driving....otherwise you might have never let me drive your van again!

  21. Congratulations Bushpig and BPG. Sorry I couldn't be there but I promise to catch you later for a few kampais.
  22. CB, that took you long. That post was 2 weeks ago! At least I can take some credit for getting you squeezed between two Ewok 2 posts!
  23. Hey, JA, beat you there. I'll be in Furano Dec 22 and then Sapporo for a couple of days.
