Snow in Japan

CB, you are a good mate. Thanks for NOT telling me that as well as any other details. I think the less I know the better. And the less I find out (EVER) the better also. -

OK, for the sake of argument, let's say we really use this gadget with a remote for skiing. (today's a slow day for me so I'm up for some trivial banter) I imagine we only need to stay 5 to 10 feet off the ground at any time, just need to climb with the slope till we achieve some altitude on the mountain, then get off and ski down and remote the gadget back to us at the bottom. There is really no need for a chute if we use it this way. My only worry is when we get that big sudden gust of wind that's gonna slam our gadget with us on board into some trees or rocks or the ground or, worst case, s -

Thanks, Tsondaboy. I hope they can work something out. "This bitch wants a turn". -

Wait a minute, is there heli-skiing from Norikura also? I know there is one at Tsugaike Kogen. Or is that the one you are talking about and it is called Norikura Heli? If so, then it's a pity, I was wanting to try that one out. "This bitch didn't get his turn yet!" -
I actually quite enjoyed my commute from Narita to Hakuba and back this last trip during Easter. I enjoy the train rides on the Narita Express and Shinkansen because they are comfortable, relaxing and have nice views. Much better than airplane rides and bus rides. From Nagano I drove to Hakuba and back by rented van and that was fun too. However, I have to admit that having my ski gear stored in Hakuba was an important factor in my decision. Otherwise I might have just taken the Chuo Taxi from Narita direct to Hakuba which would have been cheaper. The norikaeru at Tokyo station with full ski g

No, not really, but all the leg muscles get a good workout when I do that great leap up as the cold water hits. Luck my present home is in an old building with those 11 ft high ceilings. -

I haven't been to the the Prince Higashiyama for quite a few years now but one thing I still remember is that they had the best ski locker romms of all the hotels (in the world) I have ever visited. It was bright, spacious, clean and well-ventillated with good sized lockers. I hope it's still like that there.

There's an easier way to do that. Just buy some oil or gasoline futures.

Tsondaboy, I am not surprised at that survey. You are probably the one responsible for keeping that average so high. Thursday, that little detail you mentioned is another thing mine doesn't have. I have to tolerate the cold start before the warm water kicks in. -

I don't understand much Greek, but I think for Tsondaboy "enough" = "nothing". -

I always prefer to do a good "quality control" wipe with tissue to finish off the job. But the one I was using in the Aurinko had a "soft" spray function as well as the normal jet spray function. Thursday, I thought what you posted was available in HK. It looks similar to the one I was using in the Aurinko in Hakuba, where I was staying last week. I definitely don't want to buy that kind of stuff and carry it back with me from Japan. Si I guess I'll just stick with the limited choice of models currently available here. I'll need to install two of these things in my new pad. -

That looks better than mine. How much does it cost, including installation? -
Hey, Matt, I have been doing Hakuba during Easter every year for the last three years. The snow cover this time was the best of the three. So it was really great for me this visit. However, with the combination of sun and rain, melt and wash away, the snow cover is melting fast. There will definitely still be a lot of terrain to ski come April 7, but I imagine that the 3 resorts of Sun Alpina will be closed by then, as will Iwatake. But the upper areas of Goryu/47, Happo and Tsugaike will still have quite a bit of skiable area. The snow will also be a bit mushy. So should you go or not? If it
