Try to make it as early as possible and the prices come down. From what I remember a few years ago prices increased around 18th Dec, then another big increase around 22nd/23rd Dec.

I have more of a problem getting up on time than getting to sleep, but usually a good read is good enough. The only time I have trouble sleeping is the night before I have to get up early for a flight and things like that. I'm too frightened to sleep, I always oversleep.

A local park in my area is now officially called "ザ・公園". What I want to know - if I was a Japanese parent and had a small child who asked me wtf "ザ" is, what do they answer?
