mmm... i have a couple...

a fun embarresment... drew had just gone off a jump in niseko (swing run) and i had gotten suck in the powder after taking photos that i decided to bumslide down the slope in knee deep powder... i got to the bottom after a bit of hassel very fun... i stood up and i had a Snow Dangley! to those to dont know... a snow dangaley is well there was a peice of hair (i have long hair -head hair- so it ends up falling out all over the place) attached to the crotch of my pants with a chuck of snow dangeling from the hair.... ah... funny moment! if it were in front of anyone but drew i would have been awfully embarrest!

i had never ever been boarding before more so i had never been to the snow before (last year...) the first day out on the slopes spanky new gear... i didnt have belt didnt think i'd need one... i stacked so much i ended up drenched... my legs wet from snow, i had stacked under the quad lift at perisher and some random guys threw snowball at me... so embarrasing! but my buddy yelled out some nasty nasty things for me!.... shocker..!

as Drew says i got the 20G on in japan, mine and drews are identical the interface is laugauge adjustable... awsome... good for storage too!

hey all,
drew and i are in Tokyo right this very second and we have all day tomorrow and a half day on thrusday we need to suss out the snowboard shops, we know there was a topic on it but we couldnt find it.... we did find a topic with info on Minami but we then found bout 3 Subway stations with that same word in it!
Please help us and poke us in the right direction, were in Ginza so we can pretty much get anywhere (if its on some from of train)

drew (SF) isnt a student at the mom although we both studied interactive multimedia at tafe last year, im not going back to tafe but drew is unsure at the stage he may be doing web design...
as for me yes i studied graphic design and worked as a designer but i didnt like the restriction of not being able to do what you want and haing to do what the client says!
this year i'll be doing dimetional illustraion for a book my sister and i have written! (kids book!) and im getting my portfolio together!
sunrise try photoshop its an awsome program if you can get ur hands on it its worth learning and premiere or imovie awsome for ripping pics from footage (u just bought a digital video camera yeah?)

im very mac biased but....
heres my 2 cents...!
mmm... well since tablets are used for graphics are pcs arent very good for graphics
combinding the 2 would be silly i think....
i have a G4 powerbook, i use it pretty heavily for graphics and it holds up under pressure! its an awsome little machine....
i also own a wacom graphics tablet intuos 2 its the larger one the active area is 16 (height) cm by bout 22 cm (width) the pen has a very sensitive tip and its got a pressure function so the harder you press the wider the brush stroke.. etc..
anyways i have a friend who has used one of the wacom tablets that project the screen on to the surface (the same as the laptops but you plug ur puter in to it) and she said it was awsome but your hand got really really hot using it so you got a sweaty palm and had to keep stoping work.
i imagine with out a fan in the screen the same thing would happen since the screen is removable... i know how hot my lappy gets its a killer it burns if its on ur lap untill the fan kicks in...
Fantastic idea the tablet lappys are but i dont think theres much point.... if your serious bout graphics then you'd be reconidering! you need a large screen and a good qaulity tablet for graphic design and web design..
i dont imagine they would provide good colour to them either?
but what ever tickles ppls fancy!
we saw one only a coulpe of days ago and they do have a rather small screen....
meh...
im very happy (couldnt be happier) with my g4 powerbook and wacom tablet... and my imac on the side!

i'd be taking along one of those heat bags u knoe the ones with lavander in them that u microwave?? we'll they never seem to go cold if they stay in ur sleeping bag!

sunrise, dont make the classic mistake of being that snug that every time you make a sudden move ur toes slam against the front of your boot, i have soooo many pairs of shoes that are "perfect" fit and if i run, i get sore toes!!

ah my proudest... i havent been boarding for that long so they are only small achivements...!
i was proud to watch drew nail the rail!
but my proudest was when i was skating long a flat i picked up enuff speed i flicked my binding back put my foot in and clicked it up all in motion no fallin no sitting perfect! was magic! ... i have flows...!
i think it cause i cant skate very well added to the specialness of the achivemnt! hehae
