  1. Yeah I reckon you're right there, with some training. Are people born welders and cabinet makers, unable to do anything else? My amusement was more along the lines of how apparently none of these '3 million highly skilled workers' were able to adapt and survive. Survival of the fittest, I suppose.
  2. How come people in apartments get let off? (or is that a regional thing perhaps?)
  3. That's Milwall for you, the scamps. Well done Wigan.
  4. Almost makes you wonder if perhaps if it wasn't just her that did 'the good things', then it wasn't just her that did 'the bad things', ne. Oh those poor, poor, helpless 'highly skilled' people. Sorry, but...
  5. Then again, he us a ...inho, so that implies some sportiness!
  6. Would Tubby be able to do that though, you know the 'Tubby' bit and all
  7. If you are interested in 'what she saved Britian from', simply take a look at the history books to see the dire state that the country was in when she took office.
  8. The air will be hot when that themonuclear war starts!!
  9. You're absolutely right! It's probably about as poor and sweeping as the muck the other side hurls at her.
  10. An elderly gent goes to see his Doctor, but, because he is a bit frail, forgetful & going deaf, he asks his wife to go with him to make sure that he understands what he is told. The Doctor has a bit of an examine, then said, "I am afraid I don't quite know what the problem is, I am going to conduct some more tests, & I will need some intimate samples. I will need samples of your semen, urine, stool, sweat & blood" The elderly gent looked at his wife in total bemusement & said "what did he say?" She replied "he wants your pants"
  11. I'm sure there's more than enough stuff to read up on, sand. She brought the UK out of a very very depressing cycle, and gave hope - and opportunity - fr many who were willing to take it. Ofmcourse, if you preferred to not take it and sit on you fat bottom and complain, then she likely wasn't your bag.... She sure made some mistakes and wasn't keen to admit them, but I can't name a perfect politician, can you?
  12. Sounds good Tubby? Will we soon be calling you TubbierBeaveringo?
  13. Do they just like cows more than fish or something?
  14. At last The Premier League has voted to introduce goal-line technology from the 2013-14 season. British-based Hawk-Eye has been awarded the contract to provide the system. Hawk-Eye uses seven cameras per goal to detect the ball and claims its system is "millimetre accurate, ensuring no broadcast replays could disprove the decision".
  15. Calm down calm down, why don't you?! I didn't say that your statement out and out read that that Blair ousted Thatcher. I was just making the point clearly as I said in my previous posts.
  16. No I didn't. But you did say this: And I was simply pointing out, to those who did not know, that Blair did not win his landslide while Thatcher was in office. He won it against some boring bloke who no-one remembers. Just to make that point clear in case people didn't know and perhaps thought the country voted her out.... because they didn't.
  17. Yes she was voted in 3 times over a period of how many (many) years? So yes that's three times. Three times, wow. Yeah I suppose each time it must have been for any other reason other than people actually liking here. Curious that, I actually thought that Maggie was well gone by the time Blair won his landslide. Or, hold on, was that landslide, even though I thought it was fought against some other boring bloke that no-one found remotely interesting, actually directly beating Thatcher? Hmmm. Anyway, I think she did lots of good things for the country and god knows the
