I had a good long bath last night. Had worked up a right good stink by evening time! Yuck.

That Beach Boys one in particular.

It's like magic watching flowers grow from day to day. I had never appreciated that before. But my oh my, how fast do weeds appear! I have been busy this week so no picking but in 5 days our place has been invaded by weeds. Can't quite believe how fast they appear. It's going to look a weedy green mess when we get back from 2.5 weeks away!! All very interesting and lots of it fun.

Surprising ourselves here... still having baths. Showers just don't cut it any more in an evening.

I have one at the beginning but then go onto juice and water. Last time I had lots of beer I felt and probably looked absolutely terrible when I got off the plane.

How much are you usually paying for that Mt Wiggles.

We seem to use just under 300 the last few months. It used to be a chunk more actually. I think all the new stuff that we bought is using less of the stuff. We certainly aren't using less from our point of view, I would guess more lights and things. Good to see it less though.

Oh well, glad I'm not being called a wuss!

Picking them up yesterday kind of made me think... hmm, not sure I'd be happy doing this myself!!

Back to the tiles, sorry I forgot to respond to one of Mr Wiggles comments.... already got the tiles. Bought them from a Japanese company, but seemingly they are coming from Malaysia. They're really nice but were not really expensive. I took them out of their packs last night to check they were all ok and they're really quite heavy. Quite large at 60x60cm, so not easy to handle. Good news is that I've found someone to do it at an acceptable cost.

When you're trying to learn about something you know next to nothing about, and lots of different people tell you different things, it gets confusing. I'm sure there's a few different ways to do this that are ok, but I don't really know which. Hoping the guys tomorrow will come up with realistic quotations and I can just give them a bit of cash and they'll do it. I'll watch and learn!

Thanks for the info everyone. I asked 2 local guys to come and look today and they are going to give me quotations. Their guess was much more realistic. I'm willing to learn and do it if I can't get a decent price, but if the guess estimates come off I will hand it over. Would prefer to have a pro do it.

Just looked at the website for the tiles I have. Seems that are telling me what is needed. I think I'll take that to the home center and see what they say

Yes, next to the house. Good point! I think I'm going to do this myself. Fed up of being quoted silly prices for what does not seem to be rocket science. I think I might even enjoy it. Just need to know what stuff to use!!

I'm trying to work out what thinset mortar is in Japanese... anyone able to help on that?

thanks. Can you recommend a specific cement to get (link would be fab!) I was looking at one video the dude said "thinset mortar" is good to use.
