  1. Naeba is basically just one (big) resort. Hakuba has more resorts in the area to choose from. (Though admittedly there is more to choose from in Yuzawa 30 mins away from Naeba). I'm not sure about Hakuba in mid-December, but I'd say Naeba is a bit risky.
  2. I saw what I think was an inoshishi recently. They were on the news as well the other day, showed how strong the things are (very!) - wouldn't want one of them charging at me - and they were entering peoples houses and making a nuisance of themselves generally. I can't reemember where it was.
  3. How often do you clear the snow from your roof gamera? When it gets to a certain weight? Whats the most you had_? Too many questions, sorry , very interesting though. Be careful up there!
  4. I'm going to have to think up one I think, getting left behind here. Did you make those animations yourself?
  5. sunrise do you have any music released for us to listen to / buy? I'd love to.
  6. Just do it. And gamera it's the bad English that is the point more than the security measures themselves.
  7. Interesting read, thanks for taking the time. So good to hear something positive instead of the darui feeling you get "everywhere else apart from Niseko".
  8. No giri choco being given here, no way. Say No to Giri Choco.
  9. I've never been more than friends with a Japanese guy, not that many that do it for me to be honest. Trouble is, I don't find lots of the gaijin guys here that good either (usually the attitude does it). I'm sure there's some great guys frequenting here though of course.
  10. I'm thinking about buying something (not the shuffle or flash, bigger thing). Since this thread started, a lot has been said. So - if I wanted a 40GB machine what would you recommend to look at other than the ipod.
  11. Perhaps? Married boys - do you do chores? Just read this: http://asia.news.yahoo.com/050205/kyodo/d882a1eo0.html Most disapprove of 'wives stay home' idea, but few men do chores (Kyodo) _ A majority of Japanese disagreed in a recent government survey with the traditional notion that wives should stay at home for the first time since the poll started in 1979. The survey on gender equality also showed a record 40 percent of Japanese believe women should continue to work after having children. But while female participation in the Japanese workforce is growing, the
  12. What's perfect weather for a day on the slopes for you? While a day of sun and blue skies like today is nice and feels great, the snow gets hit in the afternoon. And of course some of it melts too.......
  13. Get one of those masks that basically cover your head with just a hole for your nose and eyes. Then put a hat on. You might look like a bank robber, but it'll keep you warm.
  14. Nowhere this weekend, but Yamagata next weekend which I'm really really looking forward to. The last few months have been just so busy it will be my first real holiday for yonks.
  15. Meaning that weekends are busy? From what I've heard, they are of course busy to a certain extent, but not the crazy scenes of a decade ago.
  16. What have I been missing?! I think I'll stay out of this one.
  17. That is not good news at all, what are the signs that they can say that?
