  1. Still on. Was not able to hit ths ski slope often, so maybe I can still do some later.

  3. Yup, never ending story me jane. When the baby starts walking around, you need to put all your attention on him/her all the time. Babies are so curious about anything. They check stuff by putting them into their mouth, so you have to stop it if the stuff were not good for the baby to put in! I have not had any kids of my own yet, but I have some younger brothers and caterd for them as the eldest brother. Diapers stinked a lot! lol Take it easy, it's a 365 days stuff. You can never get any sick , flu, fever etc. Even your house is messed around, no one will die. All your attention and
  4. Due to less snowremoving work, I think it grows a lot more than usual. How about yours, big-will?
  5. I think most important thing is how effectively people work, not how long they do.

I posted a bigger pic somewhere on here and I had a girl say it was classy... I'm still beaming from that. . Hummm must be hard to eat noodles.
  7. See the article #34 http://info.pref.fukui.jp/kokusai/tagengo/html_e/konnatoki/3sigoto/e_hourei/roudou.html Doesn't explain if it includes lunch time or not. Vague When I worked for a bank, I didn't see anyone took any other break apart from the lunch time, so I guess lunch time included? But anyway it's long ago.... law might have been changed.
  8. >Bit weird though that the taxis charge per person? Huh?? Are you talking about something like a "shared" one? I think I always pay for the taxi ( not per person) though ... am I getting confused?
  9. Jens If you would like to rent a van in a car-rent place, you need to get back there to get the car back as far as you don't choose an option to get the van somewhere else. In many car-rental shop, it seems that you can not choose the option later, you just need to choose it when you SING-UP. So, if you rent one at Narita and back to there to get it back, no problem but if you would like to rent one at Narita and would like to get it back at Osaka, you need to choose the option on signing up. Not sure if you would like to take "JR pass", but it seems that you can't get on "Nozomi"
  10. When I drove my car from my house to the area via Ootsuki JCT at the Chuo EXP way, I think it took roughly 3 hours to Fuji-Yoshida. If you would like to go further e.g. Gotenba, maybe you need some extra half - 1 hour, I guess. > May 14-25 I think you can visit the "Yuki no ootani" ( Grand snow walls?) at the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine route which connects Nagano pref. and Toyama pref. at that time. Ask the details at +81-76-432-2819
  11. Wonder what is the qualification for that "too fat" ?
  12. Yep, very tiny Ezorisu. I always need to wear a pair of glasses for my far sighted eyes to see/touch/pick them. Actually there are some non-painted figures are also available in cheap price but I don't think I can paint them good with my eyes now. Perhaps I could do that if it were 5 or more years ago though. And yes, they are German, but other nations' figures also available. Especially they provide a lot of policemen, soldiers, marriage couples in many nations.
  13. I think that kind of "convenient" things just confuse old brains. Suica is a kind of pre-paid card, right? And while you have some 'money' in your suica card, you can go through the entrance gates in each and every station linked to suica system here and there without buying tickets.....? You don't need to buy tickets trip by trip when the train company changes..? ( JR<->Odakyu, Keikyu<->JR etc ) ? So, is it just to save your time? The most scary part for pre-paid cards is what if I lost them lol..... I often do that Sometimes I am surprised to find younger peo
  14. When we say "Tatazumu", we use it for the cases in which the subject (person) does not do anything special. Just seeing something around or standing there without moving any etc. Sometimes some sentimental or emotional feelings included. E.g She was standing there by seeing the scenery around to forget her dad died. I think we use "tatazumu" for this kind of case above. Probabaly we don't say "tatazumu" if the person look at this and that around with curious eyes.

So less cars than Tokyo so you think it's be the otherway around! Hows the electronic signs that change from 80km to 50km just because it rains! Or because it snows, strong wind etc. I think in some flat, straight sections, usually the limit is 100kms/h but if it's steep hills, curve, bad visibility, crowded etc, it could be 80kms/h.
  16. Quote: Originally posted by Ezorisu: Japan. Something from the 1980's though, so it may have fallen out of fashion... Hum.... no not from the 1980's. Because mums day already existed when I was an elementary school kids which was not in 1980's.....
  17. Ezorisu - Thanks but if it's cut, too small to pick Do you make some plastic models? Indo - Guardians have to be with kids!
  18. I think it's a bit dangerous for you to have any alcohol while you are in an onsen bath tub. Could cause a heart-attacking to be a Dozaemon (a drowned corpse) there As many before me have said, I think it's nice to have some after the onsen though?
  19. This big And I think they are already drunk to fall down with chairs. muikabochi - I don't think they are road signs. If they are, I think they attach some signs for them. Thanks. Ezorisu - yeah could be, but too thick for beer mugs. I think it looks twice thicker than the dolls' thighs. Thanks snowbender - yep, for my model train layout. Mysterious?
  20. Sorry for disturbing. What are those small things at the left of this picture below? (White and orange things) Any ideas? No explanation attached, asked it to the shop but haven't gotten replies yet. Maybe pins to fix the benches but they don't work for it. Some geeks in the same hobby told me they might be beer mugs but I don't think so..... I thought probably someone who is not in the same hobby could gimme some ideas. Thanks
  21. Quote: Originally posted by scouser: I can't imagine people using those to talk about yourself, right? Any peculiar rules on using them. Usually those 2 (tsutsushimi bukai , kenson na) are used to talk about others. I don't think I use them to talk about myself e.g. Watashi wa tsutsushimi bukai. Watashi wa kenson na hito desu. Maybe sometimes some people use "tsutsushimi bukai" to talk about themselves but I think it's very rare. Maybe some use it for it but only with close friends in some casual situation otherwise I think others hear someone uses it to talk about him/herself mig

That happens a lot recently which I hate!!!!
