26th November 2023 We have now completed updating our information for just under 300 ski areas and are waiting for more to update their information. It is the same every year, but it seems crazy that so many ski areas in Japan have still not updated their websites by the end of November. Many still have 'thank you for visiting' (referring to the end of the 2022-2023 season) as their last update! There will likely be a flurry of activity as we get into December.

Quick update! As of 19th November 2023, we have completed updating the information (within SnowJapan) for just over half of the ski areas in Japan. The remaining 200+ ski areas have yet to update their own information for the 2023-2024 season, either at all or fully. It has taken until around Christmas for updates to be completed in previous seasons. Our site updates continue every day.

Only one lift operation at Nihonmatsu Shiozawa for the 2023-2024 season Nihonmatsu Shiozawa in Fukushima Prefecture has two pair lifts, but one lift will not be operating for the 2023-2024 winter season.
