Post it if it is online Kumapix - and if in doubt, PM me.

We'll get one up sometime this week.

Excellent!
That has just cheered me up after a long day in front of a computer!

Hi cab9
Kagura and Naeba are connected via a gondola - however, that won't be operating at that time. Both Kagura and Naeba plan to open 22nd November. Realistically that will just be the man-made snow at the bottom of Naeba (about 900m long narrow course), while more - real snow - should hopefully be open up top at Kagura. Obviously how much of the resort areas they open will be depend on how much snow they get until then
These pages will hopefully help with visualising it all

Actually they are starting a week or so later this year than they did last year. Around 10 or so yes.
-
First of the snow making for Naeba this weekend, and here are some pics. They plan to open that run in front of the hotel on 22nd November.
Thanks to Hayashi-san.

Thanks to our friend Patrick Thorne:
Scotland Opens For Halloween Skiing
Scotland's Lecht ski area has opened for skiing and boarding today, October 31st, following recent heavy snowfalls which are continuing across Scotland's mountains. The Eagle 1, Grouse and Snowy Owl pistes are all complete but they have some thin areas. There is no nursery area complete at present.
Cairngorm above Aviemore hopes to open tomorrow, November 1st.
"It is snowing quite heavily here today and we are hoping to open for skiing tomorrow but it will only be a narrow run from the Ptarmigan station via the traverse, Cas and zig-zags using the train for access and not suitable for beginners." said a resort spokesman.
At the other three Scottish areas Nevis Range, Glenshee and Glencoe the resorts currently report that though there have been falls of snow on the mountain over the last few days but not enough to commence snow sports.

Yes thanks for posting, Mike. Always good to see new pics up there.
Looks great.

Quote:Any chance of amalgamating this thread with the strong yen thread in 'off-topic'?
I have done that. I think. I hope it all still makes some sense! (Not totally confident on how that all works....)
-
Just on the main NHK now about the expensive yen - they had Furano on there and the worries about foreign skiers/boarders not turning up.
-
Said it before in a similar situation, but why don't you either email us or send a PM and ask us rather than make a point about it on the Forums?
We won't bite, and have been known to be at times very friendly.
-
I think we can allow a photo of a yuki mushi, Greenroome.....
-
Yes it was today, Tubby Beaver.

Nice photos as always muika. You'll have to tell me where that is, never been up there.
-
Well, I'm a bit sure it wasn't, if it was sarcasm, then.... bugger off!
-
Well thank you.
( unless you were being sarcastic! )

Usually just the top bit at Kagura, of course depends on how much snow there is.
Many resorts around the Yuzawa town area (and lots of other places actually) try to open mid-late December. There have been times when it's Chritsmas/New Year before they can properly get going. Lets hope there's early snow this year.
-
There are a few changes coming to that section soon and so we havent made any updates for a while. We will be sure to put it up when it gets going again though....
-
We just got 200+ copies of it... aren't we lucky!
Quote:Hi, I just became a part of this forum here and I would love to be a part of it. Just love the environment here. Great work by the admin and mods and every member around. I appreciate the quality of the tips and links that are offered here by everyone on the forum and hope I can do that for all you too. Let me start off: Over 100 million men around the world have problems gaining and maintaining an erection. This figure continues to rise every day, as more men are developing psychological problems and experiencing symptoms of erectile dysfunction..... etc etc etcThat was a review for Happo-one by the way...

No, just the thread title - big-wills post was all his own doing - SJ4 didn't notice that!

Questions like this often come up on the Forums and so a quick search on here may well help:
http://www.snowjapanforums.com/ubbthreads.php/search.html
You can find the "Search" button near the top of this page.
And you may have seen already it but our Places to Stay section has a large selection of places to choose from:

http://www.snowjapan.com/e/hotel/niseko-hokkaido-accommodation.html
If you contact the places you like the look of there, I am sure they will get back to you with info.
And of course people might give you other comments.
Good luck.
