  1. Just as a reminder: http://www.snowjapanforums.com/ubbthreads.php/topics/243164/Links_policy.html Thanks.
  2. Thanks to our friend Patrick Thorne: Scotland Opens For Halloween Skiing Scotland's Lecht ski area has opened for skiing and boarding today, October 31st, following recent heavy snowfalls which are continuing across Scotland's mountains. The Eagle 1, Grouse and Snowy Owl pistes are all complete but they have some thin areas. There is no nursery area complete at present. Cairngorm above Aviemore hopes to open tomorrow, November 1st. "It is snowing quite heavily here today and we are hoping to open for skiing tomorrow but it will only be a narrow run from the Ptarmigan stat
  3. Yes thanks for posting, Mike. Always good to see new pics up there. Looks great.
  4. Quote: Any chance of amalgamating this thread with the strong yen thread in 'off-topic'? I have done that. I think. I hope it all still makes some sense! (Not totally confident on how that all works....)
  5. Just on the main NHK now about the expensive yen - they had Furano on there and the worries about foreign skiers/boarders not turning up.
  6. Said it before in a similar situation, but why don't you either email us or send a PM and ask us rather than make a point about it on the Forums? We won't bite, and have been known to be at times very friendly.
  7. Yes it was today, Tubby Beaver. Click on the website link on the Yeti page here for more info: http://www.snowjapan.com/e/resorts/resortdetail.php?resid=291
  8. Nice photos as always muika. You'll have to tell me where that is, never been up there.
  9. Well, I'm a bit sure it wasn't, if it was sarcasm, then.... bugger off!
  10. Well thank you. ( unless you were being sarcastic! )
  11. Usually just the top bit at Kagura, of course depends on how much snow there is. Many resorts around the Yuzawa town area (and lots of other places actually) try to open mid-late December. There have been times when it's Chritsmas/New Year before they can properly get going. Lets hope there's early snow this year.
  12. There are a few changes coming to that section soon and so we havent made any updates for a while. We will be sure to put it up when it gets going again though....
  13. We just got 200+ copies of it... aren't we lucky! Quote: Hi, I just became a part of this forum here and I would love to be a part of it. Just love the environment here. Great work by the admin and mods and every member around. I appreciate the quality of the tips and links that are offered here by everyone on the forum and hope I can do that for all you too. Let me start off: Over 100 million men around the world have problems gaining and maintaining an erection. This figure continues to rise every day, as more men are developing psychological problems and experiencing symptoms of ere
  14. No, just the thread title - big-wills post was all his own doing - SJ4 didn't notice that!
  15. gaz hello and welcome. Questions like this often come up on the Forums and so a quick search on here may well help: http://www.snowjapanforums.com/ubbthreads.php/search.html You can find the "Search" button near the top of this page. And you may have seen already it but our Places to Stay section has a large selection of places to choose from: http://www.snowjapan.com/e/hotel/index.html http://www.snowjapan.com/e/hotel/niseko-hokkaido-accommodation.html If you contact the places you like the look of there, I am sure they will get back to you with info.
  16. Personally I have never been to any of them so I don't have any recommendations, and indeed it's not really for us - ie. this site - to do so. But other people might be able to help and we wish you good luck finding a place you like.
  17. Welcome Here is a lot of choice: http://www.snowjapan.com/e/hotel/niseko-hokkaido-accommodation.html
  18. Do you want us to move this to Snow Talk, panhead pete? Might get more people seeing it there....
  19. Yes, two posts after the original one were deleted because (the first one) was just inflamming an old private argument - and that does not belong here. Please, lets keep it not offensive. Thank you.
  20. I merged the threads.... seems to have worked! Sorry for any confusion.
  21. Lots and lots .co.jp! We simply can't answer them all and often refer people to pages on the site and/or Forums. And yes, it can be annoying when you spend the time to reply to people trying to help out and then they do not get back to you even with a quick thanks. Some people are even rude when they ask the questions! (They get ignored).
  22. Hello firstimer and welcome I'm sure you'll get responses from the community, but straight away these pages on the site might be a good basic introduction to things: http://www.snowjapan.com/e/start-here.html http://www.snowjapan.com/e/general/winter-sports-in-japan-introduction.html (That Search link near the top should be a help as these questions have been asked before - if you have a few days to spare, there's a lot of reading!) Good luck!
