As said above. We found the experience to be a lot of fun. Of course in a place like Niseko there is a lot of English spoken so it's easy. That is why next winter we are planning to go somewhere that will have less of that and looking forward to it. We're going to stay somewhere that isn't full-on English capable. Going to be a fun part of the holiday.
We have visited Hokkaido the last two winters. Totally love it. But next year we are planning on spreading our wings a little and checking out somewhere new. We like the look of Shiga Kogen / Nozawa region of Nagano Prefecture. Anyone who has been to both regions, any words of wisdom for us?
The thing about Niseko is - you just can't argue with the quality of the snow when it's pumping, which is consistently in the main season. I recommend visiting Kiroro and Rusutsu for people visiting Niseko too. They are both worth a visit and not as busy.
