muikabochi has answered my question and I totally understand now. It's pretty obvious that Yuzawa is a "ski town" in that it has different ski hills dotted around that are close together. But I was confused by exactly what 634-maru said confuses people - Gala Yuzawa, Yuzawa Kogen, Yuzawa?? Thanks for clearing it up muikabochi and 634-maru.

Great website. Thinking about Japan in winter. It was a bit 'distant' but it's brilliant to have all this info in one place. I feel lucky. -

The only Japanese beer I have ever had is a bottle of Asahi. It was decent I suppose. Looking forward to having the chance of trying many more.

I'm thinking of the last 2 weeks of January kind of time. -
I just don't like the way skiing looks on the knees when I see them there skiers battling moguls. Not for me!
