Advise for Ski Trip in mid of Dec

BOOK NOW!! -
I see that now Ozil's on the Arsenal sicklist. While I actually think it's a good thing for arsenal's form that he's not in the team for a bit, it does make me wonder what the hell goes on in training to make all these players crocked! What does Arsene do, ban calcium or something?!

Where have you looked already? -
Turned the fan off and used a blanket for the first time in a while last night. Can feel it getting colder in the morning too now. Still, it's very comfortable for me at least.

I heard something about this- I thought they voted against it because- 1) acceleration was pretty poor and 2) the race sounded like a stampede of farting rhinos. Could be wrong though.

Don't they fire more effectively at lower revs or something like that, which makes them more powerful at lower speeds? Don't know why I'm even piping up really; can't drive and can't see myself doing so soon

Important news of the day thread

To be fair, I can't really imagine anyone sporting that 'do that would have me thinking naughty adult thoughts. -
I start to miss the UK when I smell log fires. Composting autumn leaves, bonfires, spent fireworks and cooked chestnuts. You get some of them in Japan too, but in the summer so the subtlety is different. It's more homely in the UK, but more festive here. That said, anything that says snow is on the way to Japan is very welcome

Lovely view of the mountains this morning on the way to work. A distinct drop in temperature too, as lady Peetan duly noted (I.e. Complained about- she's more of a summer person).

I love marunuma to bits, but I definitely can't recommend its onsen. A tad skanky. Even waiting a week or two more will improve the odds of a good outing, because it really is much more fun higher up.

I seem to have been relocated to Venice!

Chelsea win 2-0 using the exact same sucker-punch tactics as when they won at Liverpool last year. At least then gerrard gifted them a lead. A couple of very lucky arsenal players today, should have been a red for at least welbeck.

Until the tornadoes appear. Oh man, I actually live pretty close to Koshigaya, where the tornado hit. One of my friends uploaded her video to YouTube and it got a ton of hits. Might try and fish it out.

Sadly we always seems to lose a couple of people at least, and at worst it causes a landslide. We've already had hiroshima, I remember wakayama a few years back. Makes me glad that I live on the featureless Kanto plain sometimes. This time I'm actually quite worried about te Ontake area; a lot of that very slippery volcanic ash mixed with rain does not equal a happy event.

Rrraaaaaaaiiiiiinnnnn. Was supposed to lead a karate demonstration at my kindergarten's undokai as well. Hopefully it will be ok next Saturday, but I always remember that it suddenly gets colder after the first typhoon in October.

Hardoff in Minami Funabashi 2014

Thanks for the heads up! Just another part of the exciting winter build up.. ) -
If you're happy taking the midnight bus there's a ton of stuff that leaves late evening from shinjuku station and travels overnight. Plus side is that it's quite reasonable, but of course it can be ruinous if you can't sleep on public transport (start up, me). If you take them you can even go as far as nozawa, but you do have to leave early (4pm ish) because of the journey back. Oh, of course our beloved kanetsu expressway might also be clogged to the nines. If you want a more relaxing time, shink it. If money's an issue and you don't need to be tip-top for a couple of days after, th

Some horrific and heartbreaking stories indeed. 2 Friends who had to abandon their other friend after his lower leg was shattered by a rock; A family that lost their little kid through inhaling hot ash; Just too terrible. Actually very difficult for me to watch the news because of it. All innocent nature lovers.

That, dear sir, is just one of the workers' shoes. -
At least Japan's weather knows that it is time to get cold now, because everyone is wearing their winter work clothing. There's some nice logical thinking for you.

Ah, I feel better now (sayonara Facebook)

Couldn't find the 'Everything Sucks' thread... Facebook, and even more so the way it portrays my friends on it, is really grinding me down. Can't leave it for the two reasons of 1) genuinely keeping in touch with family and close friends and 2) dealing with international communications for my karate dojo. However the amount of shit-quality, uninformed political noise being thrown around on there is horrid. Regular Upworthy links to some passive-aggressive poetry, or empowering speech by someone famous, or a bunch of misquotes from someone completely taken out of context. Worse is when some -
