  1. Actually, looking at the maps and stuff it seems I can get over to Kitakata on Route 121. So not as bad as I thought it was, don't need to go all the way east to go south. Shows how much I know. Someone tell me if I'm wrong there!
  2. To me that kind of things sounds like fun, but not fun at the same time. Must be getting on.
  3. I was thining that myself. Not looking like the fun that is the reason I like to slide on snow!
  4. To the north west of Yamagata city, Metabo Oyaji. Not sure yet on places, Metabo. But haven't really been over there. We may be fairly close but it's not the easiest area to get to.
  5. Hmm never really understood what that is.
  6. I know some people in the same situation and either moved or moving. Would be interesting to know the situation there. I suspect there's a lot of movement away from the area, not just immediate around any arbitrary exclusion zone.
  7. Great idea this been going over it the last week or so. Didn't know many at all myself but interesting to see the places.
  8. I know some people who lived to the east of Fukushima city and they are planning to move as well. Fear for the area. Used to go over there a lot as well. On a brighter subject, I'm hoping to check out a few more Fukushima skijo this coming winter. I'm in Yamagata.
  9. Enjoy both skiing and boarding. Probably more skiing the last few seasons.
  10. Good on the street interview with a ba-san this lunchtime. Talking about Abenomics, she was trying to say she didn't know what it meant and then came up with "Nani-nomics"?! Well, I thought it was funny.
  11. You can't imagine what Japan is like now, ippy, with Abenomics.
  12. One piece of advice I would give: Always go for it*. By that I mean if you are trying to decide between two things, with one being of higher quality but more expensive... and you feel that you really do want it and you can comfortably afford it in your circumstance.... do it. You will very likely regret it if you don't. *Within reason of course.
