  1. Nisekos night skiing is simply amazing, it's the best I've ever skied. Ever. I agree Hakuba sucks for night skiing, but the terrain around there is far superior I think. Both have so many options that you really can't go wrong! Trying to decide Honshu or Hokkaido for this winter right now Hirafu night skiing...
  2. No, no, I wouldn't be able to function then! Do gotta work unfortunately! Got a bit more money now so think its time to buy a few cases
  3. My hours vary from two per day to five per day and teach 17 hours total per week. I wish it was less, but some of my mates teach way more per week for much less money, so I can't complain. Meetings suck though don't they?
  4. I've drank a case of it already, and think its Japan's best beer. I need to go buy several cases of it and store it for later.
  5. Great thread this. My wife and I are also getting into the housing market. One problem I have found is that some of the lots we have found we have to buy through Sekisui or another one of those companies, which we don't want to do. Some of those prefab houses just look terrible. Granted, I have seen a few (2-3) that made me think, that's a prefab house? It looked great inside and outside wasn't bad either. Those were few and far between unfortunately. I wanted to say thank you for all the information and points to keep in mind when we start looking seriously, too. So many questions have p
  6. Things that I would prefer that hadn't been invented would be along the same lines as shouldn't have been made: Ishihara Shintaro.
  7. Pictures like this make me sad. There is still plenty of snow out there, but not much more coming unfortunately. Think we will get any more freak storms?? Don't like meltage!
  8. Thanks for sharing. I was in meetings in the morning and afternoon as well. At least somebody is out there hiking and enjoying the goods. I agree, I'd like to see more of Muika's pictures as well. Always spectacular. Enjoy a little hike and take some pictures for us (stuck in the office) please
  9. Chriselle, I've seen that several times in the States myself, but thankfully it wasn't for me. I always go with the flow of traffic back home, but that's usually about 75 miles an hour which I don't mind because it's what I usually do here I still get passed loads too. Some drivers really fly don't they? I know it's about police cars, but what is up with people doing 80 in the right lane blocking traffic, and going the same speed as the car next to it? Bitching about drivers here is a past time of mine. Sumahen
  10. Had that happen to me heading to Takasu the other week. My mate and I were driving up and all the cars were behind the cop car going the exact speed limit. I just don't do the speed limit so I was going about 7 or 8 km faster than the group and managed to pass them and get up to the cop car, right when I started passing the cop car he got on the loud speaker and said that the speed limit is 80km/hr and that's what I have to do, so he pulled immediately behind me and repeated that two more times. I moved over to the left side and dropped my speed to just at 80km and then he proceeded to pull up
  11. Might get another storm or two this month, but not holding my breath. I think it's time to break out the sunscreen and enjoy Spring skiing! I love corn skiing and touring, also a nice time to enjoy groomers, too. Do you not like Spring skiing and touring?
  12. Yuck. Don't get me wrong, makes for some fun corduroy action, but I'd rather we had temps with highs under freezing still. Too early for sunscreen!
  13. Looks like highs around 12 or so in some places in Niigata and Nagano next weekend. Don't like to hear that.
  14. Wow, sounds like he is lucky to be alive!!! Glad to hear there aren't two bodies going home in coffins this time.
  15. Is this weekend CNY? Or is that over? Sorry I can't remember. I would love to be heading out to the slopes this weekend but have work due to entrance exams Schools making us work on long weekends is just criminal! Sunday after we're finished going to meet up with a few other families and go eat some delicious food around the Ise Peninsula. I just can't get excited to go out there when we could at least do a day trip to Takasu or Washigatake
  16. Oh hell ya! Smokin. Do bots vote? Are there programs that enable them to jump on polls and vote? To the two of you who are "not really" interested in sex, it's probably because you're not doing it right.
  17. I'd like to find out more information too. The families must be going through hell, so my thoughts go out to them. RIP.
