Someone missing at Kagura...
teikiatsulover replied to SKI's topic in Snow talk, trip reports, Japan avalanche & backcountry
Gozaimasu, for sure and a lightweight down that packs quite small among other necessities. -
So,ummm, movies that you've acquired and not bought through iTunes can be played through Apple TV? That sounds good. Is the volume the same as the tv? I'd like to watch Game of Thrones on the big tv rather than my laptop starting April!

SR : HokkaidOH! 2013/14

Are all your pictures of really short people? Or is it that deep? -
I love the restaurants around Fukushima (one stop West of Umeda) so many varieties to choose from and very delicious. The Thai and Turkish are my favorite. Namba has lots of places for shopping, restaurants, and bars. We used to go to Absinthe a good bit.

I'm drooling. Those pictures are outstanding! They make me want to hop on a plane and fly to Rusutsu right now! I'll definitely have to get up there once this season. -

Interesting that Schumacher was wearing a helmet and it didn't help him out did it? -

Cal, I checked out Pavel and then moved on to just looking at everybody and what they are doing. There are so many out there that I recommend looking at many different people and see their form and what they're doing and why they're doing it. I watched different videos for hours and hours to understand technique and learn different movements. Once you do that if you have any questions I'll try to answer them from my limited experience. For what it's worth, I've been able to rip up the trails this year more than any other year after doing this training! -
Get something that's 100+ in the waist. You'll wish you had it as you hit the powder on the nongroomed runs and there are plenty. Yesterday we had about 60+ cm here and groomed runs were still powder runs. I usually ski powder and groomers with a ski that has a 116 waist and have no issues. At 100-105 you'll get used to it in no time.

Had a great workout today. Yes, I'm definitely in much better shape this year than last year. Might even be in the best shape since I was young! Definitely enjoying workouts again, and YouTube with all the example videos and variations help keep me from getting bored. Workout out can be quite boring. That actually might just be because I'm actually lazy as crap! -

I found an 18 year Glenfiddich for 5000 yen...is that a good deal? Most 18 years are double that at least., so is it just an average bottle? Has anybody had that? -
Sake Appreciation Thread 2012/2013
teikiatsulover replied to RobBright's topic in General off-topic discussions
At a nabe party last night and there were several different bottles of sake. I must say that Koshinokanbai 越乃寒梅 was not as good as I remember. Has the quality dropped off? Has it become the Asahi of the Sake world? -
Traffic Manners...grr..

I also don't understand why people don't put their lights on here at dawn/dusk, or especially when it's raining hard and visibility is poor, which we had several days ago! What's up with that? Another one is people who drive K-cars like their either a bus, or a Ferrari. Either way it just gets on my nerves. I had a guy so close to my bumper I'm surprised I didn't get hit. I couldn't go any faster because of traffic yet he was swerving side to side and probably a foot off my rear end. I don't get it. I can't go any faster and neither can anybody else. WTF are people thinking. The people wh
